Pissed off about Pluto

Pluto aint had it so bad

poor old Ceres has been a planet, not been a planet and then almost been a planet again only to have the dirty done a second time

science evolves with knowledge, as it should

Wow! I never knew something like this existed! Ceres? its not an asteroid between Mars and Jupiter?

It is a dwarf planet located in the main asteroid belt.

Had some spare time on my hands so

The next planet in the Solar System after Neptune would have a quantum number of 18. If I assume the wave number is pi
then the distance of the ninth planet of the Sun would be

8.6 X 10^9 km
This is considerably further away from the Sun than Pluto is
(mean distance 5.8 X 10^9 km )

>> Is that some kind of strange numerology you're using, URI?

you may think so
BUT truth is stranger than that, James R

Is anyone else just pissed the hell off that Pluto is a "dwarf planet"? I do not mean object to it on a scientific level, but a pure emotional reaction?

When I heard someone say we have "8 planets in our solar system" I felt like punching them in the face.

Seriously. We need to upgrade Pluto back to her original status.

I am specifically pissed off that only -424 people- voted for this and we are all expected to follow that.
I agree completely. It really does piss me off. So Pluto does not meet the current definition of planet. Ever hear of grandfathering someone in?
It screws up the whole:
My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzapies. (mercury, venus, earth, mars, jupiter, saturn, uranus, neptune, pluto)

Might I propose a new one?

>> NASA’s New Horizons probe bound for Pluto is headed for a Jupiter flyby, its camera eyes wide open, in preparation for its swing out towards the fringe of the solar system.

About the size of grand piano, New Horizons carries seven instruments to study Jupiter, Pluto and its moons. The probe may also survey the distant icy Kuiper Belt Objects if its mission is ultimately extended. New Horizons is speeding through the solar system at about 44,537 miles (71,675 kilometers) per hour and has already shot past Mars, the Asteroid Belt and snapped images of Jupiter [image] and a space rock formerly known as Asteroid 2002 JF56 [image].

IMO, Ceres is the core of the planet that has disintegrated... it got smashed by Jupiter's magnetic Bloch wall..... maybe Mars will follow the same fate.. it is showing signs by the expansion of its dead core and the loss of atmosphere.

Ceres has a position in the Solar System of a planet, it has a quantum number of 13. The wave number shows the displacement of Ceres, it is (3/2) pi

Our Solar System is a very very interesting place, I once thought it was rather boring, but when you get down to it, it has such amazing surprises.

Well i would just like to say that pluto still effects the organization of life on are planet, and so should be considered a planet. what would humans do if pluto disappeared, it has been in its orbit for so long that it is apart of human life. when it eventually crashes into neptune humans on earth will know of the effects.
humans can't out run the effects of pluto because they can't dig deep enough into the earth to exscape them so pluto remains a presence in human
life. My last count gave a figure for approximatly 17 miles? for plutos effect into the earth humans have still to travel that deep into the earth and if so what would life be like without pluto.

the term planet and moon or a major word of definition should belong to all objects which have a effect on life on our planet.

What in the hell are you talking about?

He's obviously reminding that since they "got rid of" Pluto he has to travel 17 miles to get an "underground" pizza - hence it's effects are felt even though it's "gone".
