On being constantly banned for "trolling"

You’ve been trolling for years.

Wikipedia defines "troll" as:

"In slang, a troll is a person who posts deliberately offensive or provocative messages online[1] (such as in social media, a newsgroup, a forum, a chat room, an online video game) or who performs similar behaviors in real life. The methods and motivations of trolls can range from benign to sadistic. These messages can be inflammatory, insincere, digressive,[2] extraneous, or off-topic, and may have the intent of provoking others into displaying emotional responses,[3] or manipulating others' perception, thus acting as a bully or a provocateur. The behavior is typically for the troll's amusement, or to achieve a specific result such as disrupting a rival's online activities or purposefully causing confusion or harm to other people.[4] Trolling behaviors involve tactical aggression to incite emotional responses, which can adversely affect the target's well-being."---- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_(slang)

This is a direct quote from the NASA website:

"On June 9, 2022, NASA announced that the agency is commissioning a study team to examine unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs) – that is, observations of events in the sky that cannot be identified as aircraft or known natural phenomena"--- https://science.nasa.gov/uap/

Are you saying NASA never said a uap cannot be identified as a mundane object? Do you think they would call it a uap--an unidentified ANOMALOUS phenomenon--if they thought it was a mundane object?

NASA has not defined UAPs as things that "cannot be identified mundane objects". That would be stupid and the people at NASA mostly are not stupid. The UAP classification includes things that have not been identified as mundane objects, so far.

Magical Realist like to pretend that this is too hard for him to understand, no matter how many times he is walked through it. It's part of his clown act.

Establishing an agency to examine things that can never be identified would be a completely pointless exercise.

What the agency actually does is to classify certain reports as UAPs: unidentified anomalous phenomena. They are not "anomalous" because somebody has identified them as something out of this world. They are "anomalous" in the sense that they have not been easily identified as something mundane, which makes them the exception to the general rule when it comes to these kinds of reported sightings of things.

The obvious key word here is unidentified. Unidentified things, by definition, have not been identified as alien spacecraft flying at Mach 2. Unidentified things have not been identified as flying metallic spheres. Unidentified things haven't been identified. Period.

Moderator note: Magical Realist has been warned for telling easily-exposed lies, knowingly and deliberately. He has also been warned for trolling (again), which he has done repeatedly in this thread.

Due to accumulated warning points, MR will be taking yet another break from sciforums.

This thread is now closed.
