I know how daggy this sounds, BUT
I was at MY oldest n dearest friends birthday party last night, and I gave him a homemade monty python kit. It took me about 2 weeks to make, but he adored it. Another friend gave him a monty python model (expensive! >_<) but he said to me later how much it meant to him that I bothered to spend so much time on him.
Can you sew? You could make her a groovy indian quilt, or something?

I couldn't sew to save my life but I did think about making her something too, and I know of a couple of shops in town with stuff that will do the trick, but just out of curiousity (because I'm a huge monty python fan) what did you make? Everyone in sydney must be a monty fan because they all seem to steal the copies of monty python videos from the video stores.
