Why would I ever stop at a single paragraph?

After all, my time at Sciforums has taught me one thing: the intelligent here, as with society, are a minority. Over time, it has just become a habit to preemptively split hairs. It seems that if I don't, someone who disagrees with or is offended by my words will make the split anyway.

You'd think, wouldn't you, that the first paragraph, or even the "Beavis and Butthead" sentence would have sufficed. So would I. But history suggests otherwise.

For instance, I remember once ....

I know precisely what you mean. I find it better to not say anything at all, as there will be some butthead out there that doesn't understand what I'm saying and I'll end up having to explain the mating habits of bugbears and other goblinoids to him.

Just not the effort.
I'd rather be the butthead.
