Mildly pornographic displays of affection in public places

Why do people do this, and how can it be right? There is in such an act a blatant lack of regard for others who might not want to have to look at your ugly bodies all over each other. It also shows a lack of self control, which makes me think less of you. It should be banned, banned forever, to the chagrin of voyeurs and masturbators, worldwide.

Make love not war.

Both should be done well away from the public eye.

War should never be done away from the public eye. Everyone should know exactly what it entails.

And only people who are not in love resent seeing people who are.

what's wrong with getting some nooky on the hood of your car in the parking garage?

Pfft. We can't handle the truth.

I'm not in love. Does that make my feelings irrelevant? (And anyway, when I was in love, I still resented seeing people straddling, groping each other and shoving their tongues down each other's throats.)

I think there's something wrong with a society that is to prudish or jealous to allow public displays of affection. Some deep kissing or a grope over cloths aught to be fine. Dry humping... maybe you want to take that somewhere else but if it's just adults around it shouldn't be a capital offense or anything.

I've not met anyone who doesn't laugh at couples who display public affection in the same way they laugh at toothless people, people with one shoe, teenage dads, etc.
Ie, down their nose.
It's just a white trash behavioural trait that warrants mockery and derision.
It doesn't even need to be pornographic, frenching in a park, even excessive back-rubbing while waiting in a line, it's all embarrassingly lower class behaviour.
No one I would ever consider associating with would ever consider engaging in it, or not sneering at it when they witnessed it.
I've actually dumped a girl who tried it on me, and I knew she was trash before I started dating her but I was in denial because she had a nice body, I could only maintain that denial up to the point where she revealed she's the type to attempt public displays of affection.
That was it. That was the low point, akin to the alcoholic waking up in a kindergarten covered in vomit with his pants down, I had to confront the fact I was dating trash and take the appropriate steps to correct the situation.

People should be allowed to walk the streets naked in full fetish gear while filming a porno movie, what do I care?

You probably don't. But would you want your ten-year old daughter to observe the same things? Would you want your best friend's ten-year old daughter to observe it? Would you want my ten-year old daughter to observe it?

I know it's tough to grasp, Spider, but we do belong to a society of more than just you and I. And don't we have at least some responsibility to the other members of our society? I mean, even a little, tiny, itsy-bitsy bit??

If you don't think its weird, neither will the children. They get their notions of morality from the adults, after all.

No, Sam, it ain't so simple as that and you know it! The world or the society is NOT just one person and his/her children! There are many, many more than yourself to consider ....and the morality and ethics is set by the society, NOT by just each individual according to his own feelings.

Wanna' try again?

You really should read the titles, Baron. Affection not passion

Yeah, ye're right. But the sentiment remains the same. Wanna' try to respond to my post now ...using the corrected terms?

You mean like women in bikinis? Or in hijab?

Society is made up of people Baron and children learn from adults.

Shame is an external emotion brought about by censure.

I have no hassles about people getting passionate in public. I've had friends make out in the backseat, on dance floors, on trips to the country, during New Years' getaways. Its nice to see people in love who are passionate about their relationship. I used to love to see my parents get affectionate before us. I don't see what the big deal is.

Once in a while it's uplifting to see people in love. Show's there still some good things in this world.

Sadly the people doing action aren't exactly a sight for sore eyes. That's when it gets irritating.

But seeing my parents get physically affectionate in plain view is really gross to me. I realize they had to do the nasty for me to be here but it still brings a bit of naseua to my stomach.

Frankly I'm fine with everything up until bottom-nudity. Two people can do everything but whip out their private parts (not including women's breasts), and I won't care for my sake nor any ten year old's sake. I would tell my child to look away if I saw too people humping on the street, but I'll put up with that requirement. Kids are going to see sex by shortly after that age anyway - the internet has ensured that.

And I actually like seeing two, moderatly or more good looking people showing affection. For one, it reminds me that when I go home I'm going to get play. Second it just makes me happy to see other people happy.

The fact that you're so repulsed by two people's show of affection is kind of disturbing. That or just a good sign that you haven't been having sex for the last while.
