this topic never did nor did it ever even refer to bringing god into it it has to do with marijuana cigs and booze came into the convorsation because they are legal on the same grounds as marijuana and they are much worse and kill many more than marijuana so as i stated in a different thread you bring god into almost every thread you post in this is further proof of it there is a Religion section for that

Horse puckey. You clearly haven't met many regular stoners, and seen what it's done to them. If you drink a few beers every day, you'll put on some weight. You won't have problems with your memory, like stoners do.

EVERY person I drug counseled at church admitted to starting on marijuana. EVERY last one of them. Nah, there's no connection.
People who smoke marijuana smell like an old catbox. They stink. They just don't realize it. They are oblivious. Marijuana also messes up your sperm. Not good for you macho men. The car accidents are from the potheads being too slow to react. They are in their own worlds. Anyone caught DUI should be imprisoned for attempted vehicular homicide. Most of the people I have encountered who use marijuana are losers--broke, ugly, smelly etc... I stand on my post: buy good stock instead. It will make you rich instead of stupid, brain-damaged, oblivious, stinky etc... Being stoned on the altar was an insult to God. Ugh.

and please don't call me a looser, i smoke and will smoke, i am chair person for the heart and stroke foundation of nova Scotia, raised over 7 million for the Canadian cancer society, have awards for the most money raised for CF, in my community for 9 years straight, and consuming anything god put on this planet, is not a bad thing, consuming man made junk yes, even stuff extracted from plant's which is not coming in it's natural form.

How much you want to bet allot of people you know smoke weed , including colleagues friends, politicians doctors, priests, teachers, and the only reason you don't know is because it is illegal, at least it is for now, that will be changing soon, Governments will have no choice but to legalize it, now that the INTERNET makes there anti-Marijuana propaganda mute, And maybe they Will get it right and make alcohol illegal the true troublemaker and gateway drug. Oh and take a look at how much hard drug use went down, in countries who have legalized weed, some gate way drug aye.

roomate is one of the biggest stoners i know gets home from work smokes and listens to music until he goes to sleep gets up smokes before work. he has an amazing memory almost everyone i work with are potheads and they dont have memory problems
my brother and father are both alcoholics so i know what the effects of alcohol has on people more that i wish to know actually. if you dont think alcohol messes with your brain i dont know what to tell you.. memory loss is 1 part of the brain alcohol changes people entirely

The whole issue of drug use needs to be re-addressed. In the UK, the chief drugs advisor was sacked and then the next one resigned because the government bows to the electorate and not common sense advice form the experts. This ducking from the issue is a disservice to the young people of our nation who are more confused than ever about what's right and what's wrong :m:

where does the line of abuse lye? if people smoke 1 or 2 a week will they have memory loss? how do you know?

Marijuana, I think, is fine in moderation. But in my experience, people who smoke every day for a long period of time experience psychological issues. They tend to become withdrawn and socially anxious. I'm not sure why this is. But there's research that supports this.

SORRY for the stupid errors in my wording, I should proof read, sooner. But i was in a rush, i was driving a friend to the methadone clinic, stupid doctors got her hooked on Oxycodone (Synthetic Heroin) for pains do to an ammonia(SP). She was clean for 3 and a half years, i drove her everyday to that clinic. Kind of Ironic isn't it, they semi legalize the likes of that shit, and Pot is illegal,

$10 dollars times 365 (days) Equals $3650 dollars, thats street value.

Imagine the revenue that could be generated, through commercial selling of grams? for the Public and not the Black market.
Weed smoking is and will be a big part of humanity, and that will not change any time soon. Might as well take advantage of it for the good guy's, instead of letting the bad guys have all the goods
oh and i smoke a bowl b4 supper and an hour b4 i go to bed every day for 17 years, a gram lasts me about 4 days so i pay about a quarter less then the $3650 to be able to enjoy my meal better and have a way better sleep instead of using them stupid,semi legal Benni's, and why is weed illegal again? :shrug:

Everyone starts on sugar, actually. Marijuana doesn't come into the picture until years later (typically teenage or older).
And anyway you're employing one of the oldest, most obvious statistical fallacies in the book. The relevant statistic isn't what percentage of hard drug users "started with" marijuana, but what percentage of people who use marijuana go on to hard drugs. And that percentage is very small.
There are studies showing the marijuana improves driving safety, actually. The inhibited reaction time is counteracted (and then some) by increased caution and decreased haste (this would be the "paranoia").
By all means, though, post any scientific material you have backing your assertion that marijuana use causes automobile fatalities/injuries.
You mean, most of the ones that you're aware use marijuana - and from what I gather, these would be people you interact with in some kind of outreach/councelling setting, so of course they're dysfunctional.
Meanwhile, you'd likely be amazed how many of your normal, high-functioning neighbors use marijuana. Quality marijuana sells for hundreds of dollars per ounce - it's not the sort of thing that listless losers can afford.
