A little clarification about the double attempted murder last NIGHT:
It might seem to some players that I am changing the rules of the game as we go along. That is not the case. All player actions were set from the start of the game. However, it is the case that some roles have "special powers" that are not public. Some of these are clearly advertised (e.g. several players get occasional hints from the moderator (usually 1 hint per day, maximum, per player). Certain other "hidden" powers may be exercised by choice of the player.
This game is intended to be "balanced" - i.e. not to give an advantage either to the Mafia or Town "teams". So, one thing you can be sure of is that I'm not acting arbitrarily to help either side win the game, or anything like that.
As a check on what I have said, after the game is over all players can confirm to each other that any "special" powers they had were notified to them right at the start of the game, and not introduced half way through at the moderator's whim.
I will say now that ALL killings and arrests are ALWAYS due to choices made by players, and are NEVER decided by the moderator. This will remain true for the entire game.
In other words, the attacks on visceral_instinct and Asguard were decided by players of the game. At least one player knows who attacked visceral_instinct (and chose to kill her); at least one player knows who attacked Asguard (and chose to kill him).
The game outcome remains the same:
Mafia wins if they kill all non-mafia townspeople.
Town wins if they arrest all mafia.
