Lightning From Cloudless Sky Kills Man

One time I was hiking in the Trinity Alps wilderness, in northern california, and we were at around 7000 feet elevation, which was well above the timberline. Then out of nowhere, thunderclouds started rolling in. The wind shifted and got quite cold, and then we started hearing rumbling all around.

We were wearing metal-framed backpacks, and we were the tallest objects around. Lightning was striking within 10 miles of us. We ended up going really fast for about a mile, until the trail dipped down into a valley, where we took shelter for an hour. It was absolutely terrifying. When we finally got to our campsite, hailstones an inch in diameter started falling, and then it just drizzled all night. We were planning on a 4-day trip, but we had to turn back the second day, and walk the 14 miles back.

That sounds really exciting.

When you guys get this whole lightning thing figured out, can you let me know? I am still perplexed about a lot of it. (It's a blonde thing.;) )

There's nothing to figure out, lightning comes from Zeus. That's all you need to know.

Zeus is the god of the sky and thunder with the lightning bolt as his symbol. Thor was the god of thunder and war and the hammer was his symbol, imsc.

Ah, but the lightning arrived whenever he threw his hammer Mjolnir.

Ok, I thought it was the other way round, where the belief was that if lightning struck the earth, this was believed to be a manifestation of Mjolnir. Didn't know about that other one.

It gets a bit iffy sometimes.
I'm not sure all these gods knew who was responsible for what half the time. :D

Hey, at least we've satisfied sandy's queries in that she's content a god had something to do with it.

No reason to cloud the issue with facts. :D

*I* never said anything about God having anything to do with it.

You've made no indication otherwise. Your god is everything to you, nothing else matters. Science has no place in your world. Therefore, you only need to know that a god did it.

And you trying to interpret/explain what I think, my reasoning, or anything else about me is a complete joke.

You've made it quite clear on how you "think." No misinterpretation there.
