This is just a question and it applies to everyone who wants to answer it.

Why are you in the religion section of Sciforums?

I just want to know out of curiosity and this goes out to everyone who reads this.

It develops my debating skills. I learn stuff in the Religion forum.

Also, it's where I can proudly say I'm a Pantheist without people throwing tomatoes at me. That doesn't happen to me in real life, but ya know what I mean.

It is late at night and I am avoiding school work which is due tommorrow.

I love reading philosophy, ancient history, and about religion and well, this section of the forums fits the above mentioned. :p

Indeed. I can clearly remember the Vision where you delivered God's message to me: you were majestically floating ten feet off the ground, dressed in exquisite golden robes and wreathed in actinic blue light, while still happily pounding away at your goat without losing a shred of your majesty.

Then again, maybe I've been reading too many of Leo's posts.

OK, the real reason: it's morbidly fascinating, kind of like a 19th century circus freak parade.

I get a chuckle from time to time visiting this forum. It is quite humerous to read some of the stuff that people actually believe is true when in fact it is nothing more than a story or saying made up by some other human being.

I'm terrified for myself and my children of those with power and a armaggedon minded approach to envrionmental, social and political policy. Instead of running from the fears, its good to have places to read about and discuss them.

I really like science but good science is hard work. Religion, on the other hand is so obviously nutty that it makes such easy pickings with the simplest of logic. And with so many nutty religionists around the fun is endless.

So for me it's a game and I do have trouble finding any respect for those who take it seriously.
