NOt really - it's a place for discussions or chain jokes of a below-average intellectual standard for SciForums. Perhaps the name Cesspool is a little too debased.

I like it, too. Would really be nice if you added an alpha channel. Give it the shiny plastic look.
These animated avatars seem to be ever more popular. Where do I get one? Are they created on Windows Movie Maker?

By the way, I posted this in the 6000 posts thread because Jadedflower posted her 1000th post in there, but since yesterday 3 pages had been added and so my post was far removed from her post. So, I'm going to post it in here.
JadedFlower might very well be the first poster in sciforums to reach the 1000th post three times. Her original 1000th post was in the Was Wes So Bad thread, she immediately deleted it and posted in the 6000th post thread. Then when the Wes thread was moved to the cesspool she got bumped down again. It's entirey possible that she might be able to reach 1000 four times, if she reaches 1000 then the More Me thread gets tossed into the cesspool.

Starthane; I use a gif-animating program for mine (for my 100x100 in things like my web-journal and whatnot), or Microsoft Photo Draw 2; because it's sooo easy. The graphics I make in Photoshop 7 but I suppose any image prog works.
Spurious; That bunny looks like something out of Donny Darko......

An alpha channel is a layer of transparency added over an image. It can be used for a lot of things, but one of the best is those cool plastic looking buttons. I've tried to find a good tutorial on how to do it, but I can't find it. I think it was on the apple site, but that was a long time ago. If you go to the apple site, all the tabs at the top are made with an alpha channel. It's a plastic or liquid look. It's a bit of an art. The tutorial I saw a long time ago seemed pretty easy, but there's a lot of aesthetics involved.
