People like .......... are so miserable that you can not find a right word to talk to. Their small mind is full of dirt instead of a thinking mind and their eyes are so bindfolded by their supidity that they just can not stop themselves from backbiting the most noble of humans ,His Majesty Muhammed (P.B.U.H.), who lived hundreds of years ago and saved humanity of his time and left a tradition for those who seek the truth and welfare in the future.

Hasn't the time come for all real enlightened people to stop freaking with what they do not have the least knowledge about. Stop talking about the teachings and the fundamentals of islam, because you'll find islam the most peaceful of religions just if you have a real sincere intention to research and learn. If it was due to judge the religions by a small bunch of its followers at a certain time, then guess which religions would be so sick to avoid for life!! AND.. stop talking evil of the most holy of humans, The most noble & most beloved Muhammed (P.B.U.H.), whose life and teachings are a bright light for all those who seek to prosper!

[81:17] By the night as it falls.

[81:18] And the morn as it breathes.

[81:19] This is the utterance of an honorable messenger.

[81:20] Authorized by the Possessor of the Throne, fully supported.

[81:21] He shall be obeyed and trusted.

[81:22] Your friend is not crazy.

[81:23] He saw him at the high horizon.

[81:24] He is not holding back any news.

[81:25] It is not the talk of a rejected devil.

[81:26] Now then, where will you go?

[81:27] This is a message for all the people.

[81:28] For those who wish to go straight.

[81:29] Whatever you will is in accordance with the will of GOD, Lord of the universe.

But for those who continue to talk out of bias and prejudice, nothing can be done:

[2:1] A.L.M.
[2:2] This scripture is infallible; a beacon for the righteous;
[2:3] who believe in the unseen, observe the Contact Prayers (Salat), and from our provisions to them, they give to charity.
[2:4] And they believe in what was revealed to you, and in what was revealed before you, and with regard to the Hereafter, they are absolutely certain.
[2:5] These are guided by their Lord; these are the winners.
[2:6] As for those who disbelieve, it is the same for them; whether you warn them, or not warn them, they cannot believe.
[2:7] GOD seals their minds and their hearing, and their eyes are veiled. They have incurred severe retribution.

If this true-to-life image of Muhammad, the self-proclaimed prophet of Islam, offends you more than the murder of thousands of innocent people explicitly in the name of Islam and Allah each year, then it means that you are definitely a Muslim (or at least a well-known type) and this page is for you.

As a Muslim, you know that life is full of tough choices. Do you behead or not behead? Have adult relations with your buddy's 9-year-old child...? Take a female sex slave... ?

For followers of the Religion of Peace, it all comes down to knowing what Muhammad did when faced with the same decisions (based on reliable Muslim sources, of course). In fact, the more you know about the founder of Islam the better, even if you aren't Muslim.

Forget all those shifty-eyed apologists, trying to make Muhammad out to be some sort of "Jesus clone" based on a few obscure anecdotes. The prophet of Islam definitely wasn't one to turn the other cheek.

You want the truth? Think you can handle it? Well, here you are then...

[6/5] And now they reject the truth when it reaches them; but soon shall they learn the reality of what they used to mock at.

[7/179] ........ they have hearts wherewith they understand not, eyes wherewith they see not, and ears wherewith they hear not. They are like cattle, nay more misguided: for they are heedless (of warning).

I DO NOT need to defend islam against a bunch of nothing which you stand for... Those who have brain try to find the truth by themselves, those who don't, deserve only to be shunned.

[6/10] Mocked were (many) Messengers before thee; but their scoffers were hemmed in by the thing that they mocked.

This is why you have to justify the religion of Islam, this is what a follower, involved in self admitted terrorist acts had to say, and for his courage he now faces death from the followers of Islam.

Hassan

"We’d talk about the suffering of the Muslims all over the world," Butt tells Simon. "We were very well-versed in the Koran, in the verses of the Koran, in the sayings of the Prophet and show that how it was permissible for people to go around killing innocent men, women and children."

“ "You would explain to them why it's permissible to kill innocent men, women and children?" Simon asks."

"Well, a better way to put it is, we would take away the innocence from the person so they were no longer innocent men, women and children," Butt explains."

"So, men, women and children would become non-innocents?" Simon asks.

"Become non-innocent and hence, combatants and allowed to be targeted," Butt says."

“ Why is he revealing all this? Because, he told Simon, the London bombings changed him. He began asking questions of his handlers, theological questions. He wanted to know whether the bombings could ever be justified in Islam. He waited and waited for answers. Months later, he was summoned by his handlers to a meeting in the Middle East. But he wasn’t given answers, only new orders.

"They were trying to force me into Iraq to fight basically," Butt says. ”

“ "So, to summarize, you're asking, basically, why should we be killing innocent people?" Simon asks."

samcdkey, because he is a Moslem, born to a Moslem family, and as you have said Moslems don't lie or commit unjustified acts of violence.

I don't have to do anything..as I told earlier those who have mind will try and find the truth for themselves, but those who don't, shun them.

I can bring hundreds of examples from muslim sites and news agencies about Europeans and Americans who call their own countries terrorist...but that would not be a base to start a negotiation until you are ready too brush your prejudice away and see the truth...

2/189. They ask thee concerning the New Moons. Say: They are but signs to mark fixed periods of time in (the affairs of) men, and for Pilgrimage. It is no virtue if ye enter your houses from the back: It is virtue if ye fear Allah. Enter houses through the proper doors: And fear Allah. That ye may prosper.

190. Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors.

191. And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out; for persecution and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you, slay them. Such is the reward of those who suppress faith.

192. But if they cease, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

193. And fight them on until there is no more persecution or oppression, and the religion becomes Allah's. But if they cease. Let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression.

This is Jihad

5/8. O ye who believe! stand out firmly for Allah, as witnesses to fair dealing, and let not the hatred of others to you make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just: that is next to piety: and fear Allah. For Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do.

9. To those who believe and do deeds of righteousness hath Allah promised forgiveness and a great reward.

16/125. Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance.

126. And if ye punish, let your punishment be proportional to the wrong that has been done to you: but if ye show patience, that is indeed the best (course) for those who are patient.

127. And do thou be patient, for thy patience is but from Allah; nor grieve over them: and distress not thyself because of their plots.

128. For Allah is with those who restrain themselves, and those who do good.

This is Islam

I could believe that Islam was a peaceful religion, but then I read the Qu'ran...when advocates of Islam try to make Islam appear as a religion of peace they find at most 5-6 passages from the Qu'ran.....I mean 5 or 6 passages from 1000+ page book? Plus these passages don't even encourage peace really, it says things like don't transgress limits, don't kill someone if they're a believer, etc...

You can easily find much more than 5-6 passages where Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, etc...encourage peace....

I understand that you have read all these scriptures throughly! That's just what I wanted to say...if you have studied all these book without prejudice and read the commentaries and stories of their prophets and followers, then you are on the right path...Though it is also important who is the writer or translator of the books you read...Assuming that you have found the right sources, you may choose one which best suits you and nobody should blame you for that...

As for the peace passages, you got it wrong. Quran is not a book of "Make love, not war". It is quite natural you don't find it full of PEACE, PEACE, PEACE. It is an all-including book of ideology, facts of life and how-to-live. You will also find war, family, money, help, society, good, evil, warning, Moses, jesus, Muhammad (only 3 or 4 passages with his name), God, satan, sword, olive, pairs, kill, forgive, punish, marry, make love, raise children, pay, measure, collect, thief, travel, paradise, hell, cells, heavens, movement of earth, light speed, solar system, jinns, creation, gravity, history, fruits, women, virgins, revenge, cleanness....

43/1. Há Mím

2. By the Book that makes things clear,-

3. We have made it a Qurán in Arabic, that ye may be able to understand.

4. And verily, it is in the Mother of the Book, with Us, high (in dignity), full of wisdom.

5. Shall We then turn away the Reminder from you altogether, for that ye are a people transgressing beyond bounds?

6. But how many were the prophets We sent amongst the peoples of old?

7. And never came there a prophet to them but they mocked him.

8. So We destroyed (men)- stronger in power than these;- and (thus) has passed on the Example of the peoples of old.

32/1. Alif. Lám. Mím.

2. (This is) the Revelation of the Book in which there is no doubt,- from the Lord of the Worlds.

3. Or do they say, "He has forged it"? Nay, it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayest admonish a people to whom no warner has come before thee: in order that they may be rightly guided.

4. It is Allah Who has created the heavens and the earth, and all between them, in six Days, then He established Himself on the Throne: ye have none, besides Him, to protect or intercede (for you): will ye not then receive admonition?

5. He directs the affairs from the heavens to the earth: then it ascends unto Him, on a Day, the measure of which is a thousand years of your reckoning.

6. Such is He, the Knower of all things, hidden and open, the Exalted (in power), the Merciful;-

7. He Who created all things in the best, and He began the creation of man from clay,

8. And made his progeny from a quintessence of despised fluid:

9. But He fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him of His spirit. And He gave you (the faculties of) hearing and sight and understanding: little thanks do ye give!

10. And they say: "What! When we lie, hidden and lost, in the earth, shall we indeed be in a Creation renewed? Nay, they deny the Meeting with their Lord."

11. Say: "The Angel of Death, put in charge of you, will (duly) take your souls: then shall ye be brought back to your Lord."

All that cut and paste and not a single reference to peacefulness.

That's just the usual "my gods bigger than yours"

Hi chuuush!

I had a couple real questions.

#1) On what day and in what year was the Qur'an finished and by who? Who were the exact people who compiled and canonized it?

#2) What exactly is novel as well as enlightening in the Qur'an?
I mean, is there anything in the Qur'an that wasn't already expressed in Atheistic Greek Philosophy, Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, etc...? What exactly is NEW? If there is nothing NEW and NOVEL then really why bother reading it? (note: bla bla bla .. and Mohammad was the Last Prophet, is not a new concept or enlightening, it is a flat statement).

So? Anything in there that is Novel and Enlightening?

#3) Regarding the many many unique and novel concepts only found in the Qur'an that you listed in (#2) - Could you please share with us YOUR personal Enlightenment? Some unique enlightened knowledge that you have acquired from the Qur'an?

Thanks! This is a great chance to have some of my questions finally answered!

Cheers,
Michael

Hey Sam, will you answer those for us? Where are the Muslims?
Hi IAC - don't feel left out!

#1) On what day and in what year was the OT finished and by who and on what day and in what year was the NT finished and by who?
Who were the exact people, all of their names, who compiled and canonized it?

#2) What exactly is novel as well as enlightening in the Bible?
I mean, is there anything in the Bible that wasn't already expressed in Atheistic Greek Philosophy, Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, etc...? What exactly is NEW? If there is nothing NEW and NOVEL then really why bother reading it? (note: bla bla bla .. and so-and-so half God/half-man died for our sins is NOT a new concept).

So? Anything in there that is Novel and Enlightening in the Bible?

#3) Regarding the many many unique and novel concepts only found in the Bible that you listed in (#2) - Could you please share with us YOUR personal Enlightenment? Some unique enlightened knowledge that you have acquired from the Bible?
