Is it possible to become spiderman

I grew up reading Spiderman. By far my favorite super-hero. But, I always wondered why he never actually became a spider. Aside from being able to cast webs and scurry up walls, he was basically just an avg. Joe. ( This of course doesn't mean I don't think he is the coolest Marvel super-hero.)
Gremmie.

When I was young I was bitten by a radioactive slice of bread.
It's made me slightly crusty round the edges.
But I am easily buttered...

It is possible to create a Spiderman. Through the use of radiation, spider DNA and human DNA could combine to create a human-spider. The results might not be that of the superhero. The conditions would have to be perfect, as radiation could simply kill the spider or human, or cause unwanted side-effects. The chances are very small, but it is possible.

It could have evolved that way.

The spider might be a type of spider never discovered before and had evolved to pass on it's genes by injecting them into other animals. While this would probably just kill most creatures or cause diseases like cancer, it could have evolved to inject only very specific genes and never before in recorded history had it bitten a human. It's possible.
