You are the one boasting about a system that is currently seeing what can be literally thousands of people convicted and jailed for crimes they did not commit, all because you wish to claim that eyewitnesses are reliable. Not me. What would you call someone who claims that something that causes such unfair suffering to so many as being great because they stand to personally gain from it, MR?
And I am still waiting for you to provide some studies that support your claims that eyewitness testimony is reliable.
How many pages has it been now and you are yet to do so?
And can you please explain why you quoted Billvon so much out of context and left out the part where you actually have to abide by the same rules that the rest of us do?

On a blind internet forums, it's very difficult to make people fall in line, and honestly speaking I do not think Kittamaru at least has that kind of image here that MR would pay heed to her.
The issue is MR has been spoken to by two (or more) moderators, and an Administrator... all giving him the same instruction to follow the rules he agreed to abide to when he signed up here. Thus far, he has simply refused to do so.
It isn't MR vs Mods - it is MR vs Rules (and, apparently, intellectual honesty)
Why are you suggesting we should 'go silent' after infracting him? Should we just shrug and go "oh, well, I guess he should be exempt from the rules" because reasons?

Actually I was infracted 3 times and banned 1 day for nothing since this thread was active. That's the sort of abuse of power we are dealing with here. I'm still waiting for James R to reply to me on this. It appears he's not going to. He has little interest in standing up for what's right in this forum. For the record, I haven't violated any rule at all here, as I already made clear. They're just all upset they lost another argument. It's really quite childish and petty. But all the forum can see it now. I'm glad they have exposed themselves finally.
You are, once again, lying through your teeth. The rules you have violated have not only been cited for you (and all) to see, but the method of your violation has been spelled out for you. We, literally, could not make this any clearer for you if we tried.
As for "losing an argument", you haven't even made an argument - you made a claim (unsupported at that) and simply repeated it over and over, despite repeated calls for evidence.
The only thing exposed is your own dishonest, and frankly appalling, behavior. The fact that you are yet again playing the "woe is me I'm an innocent victim" card is, admittedly, almost funny.

You are the one bashing a justice system that works very well in convicting thousands of criminals everyday, only a tiny fraction of which are later proven to be innocent. If there's any moral failing here, it's your's. You have so little regard for the efforts of our officers and prosecuters and justices to protect our society from the scum that victimizes people everyday. Why is that? Don't you care about the victims of crime? Don't you care about winning justice for them against pathetic abusers, murderers, child molesters, and rapists. Seeing you were once a victim of such a crime, I would think you'd be on the victim's side by now,

Said system that also incarcerates tens of thousands of people who did nothing more "dangerous" than inhaling the burnt smoke of a perfectly safe leaf... no violence, no theft, nothing. The same system that routinely rules in favor of the mother in child custody battles, even when the kids are desperately wanting to stay with the father because of abuse. The same system that allows tens of thousands of people to be evicted from their homes after predatory mortgages have sucked them dry.
Yes, I believe Bells is bashing a "justice" system that is that corrupt - as do I. It has nothing to do with regard for the officers and justices that are doing their jobs, and everything to do with facts.

That's what they always try to make it about. Every thread I post in they try and relitigate the ufo issue, which was in fact settled in threads long ago. In this case they were throwing out human perception and memory just so they can dismiss the thousands of eyewitness accounts of ufos out there. James R even says people manufacture fake memories of seeing flying saucers. lol! That's how ludicrous this has become.

If eyewitness testimony is in most instances, entirely unreliable, then eyewitness testimony would seem to generally speaking be bullshit by its nature.
I think that attack on the epistemic value of personal experience is hugely overstated. If it was true it would contradict not only the evidence of everyday life, but also totally subvert scientific empiricism rendering science impossible.

If your point is merely that eyewitness testimony needn't always be accepted with total credulity and isn't always 100% true, then you need to walk your remarks back by qualifying them. (I fully agree with that more reasonable qualified version and have argued for it repeatedly in many threads.)

Ok, then this is a good opportunity to better clarify what the point regarding personal experience is intended to be. Are we supposed to reject people's reports of things they experienced merely because it is eyewitness testimony, or is there a more plausible epistemic point hidden in there?
