Do you think that could be a hint?:p

I'll tell you one thing for free though.

You shouldn't have created this thread here.
It should have been in "Free Thoughts" or maybe "Open Government. ;)

Precious little, in my experience.
You should keep posting there as long as you want to.
it's gone beyond what i want..

i'm looking for more of an objective fact.
that is like asking; "should i breath; when i go poop"
Do you think that could be a hint?
wow, maybe, the worst to analyze me is me.
what do you think?

or "about the members", i know..but not only do i want to know in general, but many of the posters in religion don't go to these places.

i want to know what people think of posting here..

-to clear misconceptions?
-to discuss religions?
-to reach conclusions?
-philosophy?
-punch bag?

is it beneficial in any way or not?

is it fun?

is it an especially-worse waste of time?

oh man i don't know..

you can't; because understanding each persons INTENT for being on this section will be tough to pin down

my is to learn and share

nothing more nothing less!

to me, all truth must comply to nature/reality so walking on the edge of religion and scientific evidence is a natural place to find the esoteric in observations and available information.

Look at Newton for example; he was quite religious but was bound to his inquiry and WANTING to understand "how it works."

the few who can put their beliefs on the line and learn are the greatest achievers because they are familiar with the idea of self sacrafice; they "do" because it is right, often at the expense of their own needs

Beyond what you want?
Loss of innocence?

i'm looking for more of an objective fact.
Objective fact?
In religion?
Hmm, look what happened when I asked for an objective view (let alone fact) in my Why Bother? thread.

wow, maybe, the worst to analyze me is me.
what do you think?
Depends what you mean by "worst".
Sometimes we are our own harshest critics (and that's not helped by the fact that we're right there with ourselves all the time), but other people can see things about us that wouldn't have our your minds.

or "about the members", i know..but not only do i want to know in general, but many of the posters in religion don't go to these places.
Or there.
Regardless there'll be posters who regularly contribute to Religion that won't respond to this anyway.
Swings and roundabouts...

Meh, and you're only thinking this about the Religion sub-forum?

lol. I haven't even looked in that forum yet. Well, not purposely. In all the time I have been here, the only button I have ever hit really is "new posts" to just try to keep up with what is going on.

Frankly, "religion" is archaic, divisive, dogmatic, and political. The driving force, what gives religion it's basis is spirituality. One can have spirituality with out religion. In fact, now is the time for human culture to grown up, throw off the ancient trappings of dogma used to control the masses, and use science to get to the root of our spirituality.

As such, religion holds no interest for me. Neither does conjecture or dogma. Only the study of the multiple dimension from whence our spirituality derives should be the only thing that interests a mature space faring scientific culture. Ecumenical oneness, Earth ascension into the forth dimension should be the goal now. This non-sense with "religion" is bitter, full of hate and ridicule, and causes more harm to our species than it does good at this point. A secular spirituality is what needs to be discussed and researched about now. The KEY is consciousness. Remember, the basis for everything, all energy and matter, is thought.

What "good" do you expect to come from it?
What "good" do you expect to come from it?

HA HA YOU'RE STILL HERE..:yay:

i was gonna point out that leaving wasn't the page i though you were taking out of dimondheart's book, but they all started fighting so i decided to shut up..tiassa was on a roll too..:D

i don't know, god exists, what good is better than showing that to some people? but i kept it general..so if someone thinks that coming here and having a ridiculing go on me as "good", then i want to give him the benefit of the generalization..some would think that god doesn't exist and i stand a better chance of realizing that if i stay here, that's their "good"...

look, simply, i'm not much engoying my self here, i don't think i'm having a positive effect here, but i want to check of effects i don't see before taking a choice, if people feel the same that i'm not doing much good, whatever that be, then i'm not learning nor am i having fun nor am i useful so i should leave, if there are some people who are benefiting from whatever i write here and think it's useful, then i should stay..

Beyond what you want?
i'm not getting what i want any more..it's no longer about me.
Loss of innocence?
:bugeye:

lol you have a point, people are stupid.

you shouldn't have bothered..
Depends what you mean by "worst".
Sometimes we are our own harshest critics (and that's not helped by the fact that we're right there with ourselves all the time), but other people can see things about us that wouldn't have our your minds.
no that's ot what i meant by worst, i meant as in i wouldn't know how, it's one of the most difficult things to do, it's like trying to observe if someone is lying, can you do that to yourself?
Or there.
Regardless there'll be posters who regularly contribute to Religion that won't respond to this anyway.
Swings and roundabouts...
swings and roundbouts?
another english phrase?

Meh, and you're only thinking this about the Religion sub-forum?
it's the only one where i feel more of a giver than of a taker, but i'm having it spat at my face, i'm just asking if it taste good..

i have much much more to learn in other subforums..
you can't; because understanding each persons INTENT for being on this section will be tough to pin down
agreed, but many make it dirt clear..

you are seeking to know the intent

my is to learn and share

nothing more nothing less!

i really appretiate that, if you're here to learn, then nothing will make you leave..

the few who can put their beliefs on the line and learn are the greatest achievers because they are familiar with the idea of self sacrafice; they "do" because it is right, often at the expense of their own needs
*sigh*
"putting their beliefs on the line"..sounds nostalgic, reminds me of my first days here..

If you're not enjoying yourself, then why bother?

if every one did only what he enjoys this world would be damned..
.
.
.
.
ok, will be more damned than it is now..

if others are "enjoying" what i'm doing it's good enough for me..lol but if i'm enjoying it and every one else doesn't then i can recommend a steep hill or a high bridge..:D

I think you need to reconsider your own motivations for posting what you do not enjoy

...i don't think i'm having a positive effect here, but i want to check of effects i don't see before taking a choice, if people feel the same that i'm not doing much good, whatever that be, then i'm not learning nor am i having fun nor am i useful so i should leave, if there are some people who are benefiting from whatever i write here and think it's useful, then i should stay...

Do your religion a favor and stop getting into debates that are over your head. Please don't leave though. Maybe with more experience you will be better able to defend your views.
