I was wondering what you thought of your Deputy Prime Minister, Avigdor Leiberman.
You know he was the chap who threatened to Blow up the Aswan Dam, for Egypt's mild support of the Palestinians. Blowing up the Aswan Dam, Do you know the consequences of that to Israel, as well as of course Egypt?!?!?
For Egypt it would wipe out their entire Nile population which as you know is almost their entire population, and destroy most of the country.
I say Mild, cos they havent done that much to solve the Israel/palestinian crisis.

i think its a populist statement, much like the recent statements from egypt saying israel must be nuked, israel needs to be destroyed etc.

So when an israeli leader comes out with the annihalation of a country and a lot more, it is a populist statement but when Ahmendijad says it, it is not!!!!
Incidentally when did Mubarak, say he wanted to nuke Israel, and if so what happened to camp David in 1979!!

ithe two are different and unrelated. ahmadinajed is in a class of hes own, pursuing nuclear weapons. liberman wants to be prime minister, and just using the current situations. egypt support to the terror groups is undeniable, so both are not the same since egypt is taking sides. the statements didnt came from mubarak, but from the parliament.

Iran wants nuclear weapons because Israel has nuclear weapons. They want a nuclear deterrant. Everyone should have nuclear weapons and the ability to retaliate after a nuclear strike, because then no one has nuclear weapons and yet everyone still has nuclear weapons which almost entirely rules out total or absolute war.
Iran should have nuclear weapons.
If the USA wants to go after a nuclear pest, it should go after itself, being the only country to have ever used nuclear weapons on people - civilians at that.
