Even if it's true (who can still believe CIA?), who cares? If Iran wants to have missiles that can fly as far as possible and with as much TNT as possible, I'm OK. It's legal... If they want to work on uranium enrichment, that's fine : I live in a country that produce a lot of nuclear electricity and I agree with that so why would I want to stop them? And it's legal...
Of course there's only a small step to the nuclear weapon then, but they are not doing it. Or is there a REAL MOVIE made in Iran that show it? Not a "I heard that from the friend of a cousin of an opposition group..." or a picture that would look like a "Lock Ness" one!

Anyway, what if they had such weapon? Would they invade the world? No... I think that the only problem is that they would be free to choose what they want to do and nobody (follow my look) could invade their country if "He" disagree with the way the country is ruled.
"Yes... but... terrorists could use this weapon to kill lots of people in Europe/Israel/USA." LOL! I don't think they would give a nuke to the first guy asking it! And I guess that they would protect it as well as US, Europeans or other nukes owners.

Exactly why the US will attack Iran. Because after they get nukes they cannot be attacked as easily. The US is on the offensive.

A draft will be needed for the attack. So expect the Bush’s reversal on the draft to start after the inauguration. It’ll take up to a year to get a draft going.
 
If we're gonna keep invading the Middle East, let's get those fucks in Israel to help out. Shouldn't be too hard to convince the Isralites– they think we're invading for them, anyhow.
 
I have an iranian friend. He is all for anybody to get rid of the current leadership.He's told me of the horror of living there under muslim rule and would support anybody who rids his country of the scurge of islamic rule
 
I heard that Iran had a parliament or some kind of democratic government back in the fifties, and was developing their own oil structure.

This would not do for the USofA, so we staged a coup and installed a Shah who was sympathetic to American business.
 
Yep. It will be a mock democracy under US rule, as it is for Afghanistan and Iraq. They'll be better off but still very oppressed.
 
My mate said that under the shah, who he knows was currupt, that at least you could go about your day without fear of the religious police following you around dishing out beatings for soom minor infraction of the koran. And he told me you could go and have a pint in bars! Which did surprise me
 
But keep in mind that Iranians had it even better under Mosaddeq, whom the US overthrew to install the shah, an act which indirectly led to Khomeini coming to power. Your mate may not have been afraid of the shah, but anyone who opposed him was executed. A key demand by the hostage takers in the Iran hostage crisis was an apology by the US for installing the shah.

The US toppled democracy in Iran and thereby greatly contributed to their current dictatorship. That’s partly why nobody should expect the US to play nice in the Middle East and truly liberate anyone. We’re involved only to increase oil company profits.
 
US can not attack any other country for sometime now.
US can't even claim victory in a totally destroyed Iraq. Iran is not like Iraq and it would be much more difficult to invade.
If US attacks Iran that would be the end of an empire.

i think Iran is surrounded by US troops and Iran is not the only one with lots and lots of cruise missiles

by the way, if things got really hectic, i see a nuke being dropped on Iran.
Clinton planned to drop one on North Korea if Kim attacked Japan or any other country. just imagine what Bush will do, or already has planned.

Iran is the last country America will allow to get nukes... lessons were learned with North Korea, and i believe the ayatollahs will be stopped at all costs, meaning whatever it takes
 
Just a small 20KT nuke out on the horizon near Terhan. That'll make the ayatollahs arse pucker up. The sight of a mushroom cloud on the horizon would focus the mind a great deal :bugeye:

Nuclear Weapons are no solution. It "solved" the II. World War because no one else was capable to attack US but now its not the case anymore. So, no Nukes flying around please :(
 
It was just a flippant statment 'dose. Nukes DID hold the peace from 1945-1989 without a doubt. The policy was called MAD. Mutually Assured Destruction. Saddem knew that if he did use any form of NBC weapons, he would have mushroom clouds over Bagdad. I'm not from the USA, but if one went off over there, then you, i, and the whole world knows that after 9/11 Doubya would open a huge can of whoop ass all over the state that did it :m:

I agree with both these statements. It clearly shows US stance on Iran-uncompromising and beligerant. His claims of intel are justifiably questioned.
I still think it will be Syria 1st, then Iran. With a draft upcoming.

Thinks??? All you have to do is look at the actions of Bush and you know he is mad. Where is any logical sense to invading Iraq?
