First, we can't even agree on a definition of soul, much less testable hypotheses of what causes it. Without the hypotheses, how do you go about designing even an experimental interface. Second, an interface requires an understanding of the language or I/O between the physical body and the soul, so that translation can occur between the machine and the soul. For those reasons alone, I can only answer "not yet".
However, I think a musical instrument is a wonderful machine interface to the soul - so I guess the above argument is rendered null and void.
