I reckon God needs a new name

I command you not to believe in me.

Sorry Spipy Satan don't play that . I listened but action is another thing all together. Rebel children of God got to go rebellious . I might come home one day though and not believe in you , doubt it though . From the bottom of the Deep . I believe in you . I can drink maple water any time I believe . I believe in you

He believed in the Aryan Christ according to wiki LOL..

I find that highly amusing

What you laughing at ? That would be Me , The Great House of Germany , but the way I heard it was Hitler thought he was the Christ and all the ancient writings were predicting his rise to power. He was a big fan of Nostradamus . That is what I heard anyway

I think you should call God Eugene. Definately not Tarquin or Lance.

By reading your vocalized agreement (#34) with #33 of course

It was obvious what you meant. If you didn't want to compare atheists to nazis and fools, then why mention the words at all?
I usually keep my comments on a mature level. I suggest you do the same.

I compared it to a karaoke dictatorship - "idiot", "nazi" and "fool" were simply tools to help locate a suitable illustration.

I you want to chase red herrings, expect to be played with

There is a lot of confusion when people talk of God in this forum.

Do they mean the Christian God?
Do they mean a generic god?

If you say Allah, we know you're on about a Islamic representation of a higher being, but the Christian one is simply called God.

Can we start referring to God as something different such as Fred or Mr Jones, and leave the word god as a generic term?

In English, capitalizing the "g" in God turns it into the god of the Christians, Muslims and Judaics. In other languages, that god is yahweh or Allah.

It is of note, however, that the god of the Three Religions of the Book are all described differently and tell their worshipers to do and believe differently.

Why? It is a game of one-up-manship. "God corrected for us the mistakes your religion claimed he told you." This was the forumla Christianity took in replacing the primitive old faith of the Hebrew tribes and the one the Muslims took in "updating" His teaching again.

It was a brilliant strategy and worked. . .still does. Reverend Moon used it to foist his faith on the faltering.

Anyone else?
