I once tried that, I had a virus or something and felt sick but couldn't actually vomit. I retched, but didn't puke.
Have someone punch you hard in the gut?

If you were to accidentally swallow something dangerous, what should you do to make yourself puke it up?
You don’t. :bugeye:
As has already been said, current advice for poisoning is not to induce vomiting before you have consulted a poison control center.
What NOT to do
Don't administer ipecac syrup or do anything to induce vomiting. In 2003, the American Academy of Pediatrics advised discarding ipecac in the home, saying there's no good evidence of effectiveness and that it can do more harm than good.
You never choke on anything? Never get something - like a liquid you've got up your nose, as would typically happen during vomiting - down the wrong pipe?visc i said:Why would you inhale it? If you can induce yourself to vomit, you must be conscious.
Damned if I know, but there it is on the label, and they seem pretty sure of themselves. The common denominator seems to be petroleum distillates or compounds. Maybe they are especially dangerous to lungs? I know you don't want to get gasoline in your eyes.VI said:So long as it is not caustic, surely better to vomit?
Yes but your stomach is also made to absorb stuff.
