How do you ask. . .

Red hair on a girl is just awesome, especially if she has green eyes too and a little bit of freckles on the face that is only visible if your lips touch.

Blonde is also cool. Brunettes are OK, but I like red hair and blondes.

Now on guys I prefer dark hair. :p No red, please. Blonde is OK I guess, but dark is best.

A few weeks ago when I was living in Waterloo I told my one roommate that he is positively cute. That really startled him. I think he was scared of me for a bit after that, especially since I kissed a male friend in front of him and had rope with a hangman's noose on my door with his name on it.

And curtail all the fun? Really, you don't deserve to be gay.

Heh, so sitting around biting your fingernails wondering if he likes you like you like him, or like you'd LIKE to like him if you knew it was safe to have feelings for him is fun? :p maybe when you're watching someone else squirm, but otherwise it just sucks.

One raven, I had to laugh at your pick up lines. They were a bit ...corny.
Pick up lines don't work very well on straight people , so why would they work better on gay people?
But I guess it's a personality thing, some like them some don't.

LOL.
I agree.
I have never used a pick up line before, so I don't know any.

But I think the important thing, if he wants to avoid uncomfortable situations if the person is straight and narrow minded, is to avoid making the person feel like he is not being propositioned or accused of "being gay" (GOd forbid ).

Just bring it up in conversation and let it be known subtlely that he is gay.

Unlike the nasty obscenely overweight (like 350 + pounds) sweaty guy that pulled to the side of the road in his pick-up truck and asked me, "Are you open minded?"

With the wrong person, that could have gotten him in some real trouble.

It is sad, but it is a reality that many straight "men" are insecure about their sexuality and have had the macho image shoved down their throats for their whole lives. Feeling like someone thinks they are gay, and trying to get into their pants could make them react violently. (those same guys that drool over lesbian sex scenes in pornos)

However, very few (though some) will go out of their way to be violent with a gay man simply because he is gay.

So if he lets them know that he is gay, he can try and gauge their reactions.

(btw, the denim jacket line would get ME talking to someone. The point was to make him laugh. :p) :D

Unfortunately, gauging the reaction may entail finding out if he'll beat you to death there, or wait until he's stalked you for a few days and knows when he can get you alone :p It's always an uncomfortable situation to have to deal your hand in asking someone, but then if you really want to let someone know WHY you are asking without it sounding like an accusation or a threat, then it's kind of essential, bleh!
