Hi!

HOT HOT HOT

Please ignore him... he is the "black sheep" in the SciForums family. You will learn quickly if you stick around.

Oh come on Draq, it was a joke. Ya didn't have to up and leave the damn forum.... just ease up. You've got mods and members alike trying to explain to you that your behavior has been disrupting. Just ease up, open your mind, and try to have a good time. Thats what life is about. No use being all stuck up and volitile over simplicities.

Eventually, you'll come back.

This place is irresistable lol.

I think I learned that almost immediately actually... I would say that I'm rather forum savvy... I can tell who sucks and who's cool... ;)

Anyway... What's the demographic like on this board? Lot's of whites, blacks, girls, guys? I believe I know of 2 girls....

And yes, this forum is addictive...

Hello... My name's Dave... I'm 17 years old and I live somewhere in the hill country of Pennsylvania. (though not for much longer) I've been very interested in astronomy since I was very young, and now that there's an inextricable link in my mind between astronomy and physics, I've now taken to reading all the physics related material I can.

Other than that, I like tennis, soccer, snowboarding, ice hockey, baseball, football pretty much in that order. I love sci fi... My username is a reference to the Saudade Event site as seen in "Nova Swing" by M. John Harrison.

I'm already enjoying myself here...
Hi Dave. I live in south-central PA. If I wasn't an engineer I'd be an astronomer. Been an amateur astronomer for better than 30 years now...

Yeah, hill country of Pennyslvania can be translated: "Near Mount Airy Lodge" which I'm sure you must've heard about... Why did you become an engineer and not an astronomer? That's the debate I'm having with myself right now actually...

Yep. Up in the Poconos.

Well, I originally wanted to be involved in spacecraft design, but was always fascinated by electronics more than the mechanical/aerodynamic side of things. Astronomy was a hobby and I really had no idea (at that time) that you could make a decent living doing it. (I'm still not sure you can... :D ). So, I make pretty darn good money as an EE, can design my own electronics and control software (which is a hoot) and can afford my astronomy toys.

I think the only real money in astronomy is being a prof, so I guess you made the right choice... ;)

hiya im new too
