How exactly do you define a demi-god?
Hi Globenstein...Its up to you, I guess people can define the terms they use in their post but only if they really want to - I don't want to limit peoples experiences by definition or the constraints of langauge...this is an experiential thread.

demigod and demigoddess noun 1 mythol someone who is part human and part god, especially someone believed to be the offspring of a human and a god. 2 a lesser god. 3 a person idolized like a god.

Yes, and my explanation wasn't meant to be an exhaustive definition. Just a guide thereto.

I had thought you were implying that I shouldn't provide a definition, because of the sentence where you said we shouldn't get hung up on definitions.
In fact, one could say that you were playing 'word police' - Globstein asked me for a definition of 'demi-god' I didn't want to be prescriptive ...why did you feel the need to push your interpretation onto Globstein?

Stop falsely accusing me of things, and stop putting words in my mouth. I demonstrated the meaning of one of the root words, and told globenstein that it might be easy to figure out a definition from there.
