It doesn't look like it will taste good, so my curiosity is piqued.

Ant that somptin... the clods of dirt (about 2 or 3 per 1 lb. bag on average) are somtimes almos as big as one of the pieces of food... an I eat this type of food almos ever day an its 1 of my favorts... i cook this type of food about 3 houres for proper tenderness.!!!

No to both guesses... but the actual (individual) food items are about 1/2 inch long an 1/4 inch wide an less than 1/4 inch thick.!!!
