Yes, but did he answer the fucking question?.Spurious' answer explained how the eye is formed and how it relates to the brain. Considering the original question, whether the eyes are an exposed part of the brain, I suppose Spurious' post is relevant. Moreover, since this is obviously a discussion about the physical relation between two parts of our bodies, how do you propose we avoid anatomy?

However in my case I know my stuff, somewhat, so it was not in that that I found him insulting.I think the phraseology you used didn't so much indicate that you hoped anyone should understand it, but that anyone who didn't was in some way substandard. However in my experience a sizeable fraction of stuff people don't understand is due to lack of relevant background knowledge.
