1 Timothy 2:12-15

12 And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence.
13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve.

14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression.

So we can thank Eve for the state of the world today, not Adam.

Actually you can thank god.

As you can clearly see by statements within genesis, neither Adam nor Eve had knowledge of good and evil before eating the fruit of the tree, (unsurprisingly), named the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Without the ability to distinguish good from evil, neither Adam nor Eve were in a position to make an educated decision on the moral implications of eating the fruit. Theists will say "but god said", without realising the inherent meaningless of that to a being with no knowledge of good or evil. Was the serpent evil? Is god good? Neither question can be answered by a being without the required knowledge and as such any decision made by them is not their fault.

The tree was put there by this god, the universes only talking snake was put there by this god, the people were put there without knowledge of good or evil by this god. The fact that they didn't listen to this god and him getting angry about it only goes to highlight this beings incredible incompetence.

As it stands it seems he had to ensure that mankind would mess up so that he could make himself look cool by coming down and killing himself to forgive man for messing up something he ensured man would mess up. No mistake in Eden, no jesus.. and then you'd have 2 billion people with nothing worth living for.

not this again, god is to blame, not eve, not adam.
if your belief is in the xian god we can thank it for the state of the world today.

If we don't believe in god, and if we think those texts were written by males, what does a non-existent god have to do with blaming?

Because you're in the company of many individuals that believe in this god and believe that the bible is either A) the complete absolute word of god or B) the inspired word of god.

Yes, we can all sit here and respond: "It was written by men", and done with it, but it would lead to very short and boring conversations. Anyone interested in a little more than:

"god exists"

"no it doesn't"

will sometimes look at it from their perspective. There's this god being and here's a book it wrote.. Hmm, what does the book say? To answer your question: It makes discussion.

Good point. I think I'm more interested in the possibility of the existence of a god, rather than characteristics of a defined god.

Why blame god? If we don't believe in god, and if we think those texts were written by males, what does a non-existent god have to do with blaming?

True, true, why blame any deity we deem non-existent. That's the correct analogy for an atheist to stand on, however when speaking to theist, looking to blame this or that, without even questioning their deities, we got to speak in term that they can possibly understand, once they realize that the blame is no one, but humanity itself for following ancient doctrine, written by primitive dessert dwellers, we can go on and blame religious rhetoric on world problems.

Truly though, the blame is on no one but oneself. Since we have allowed the human mind virus last this long, whatever happens in the future, we well deserve it!

Sad part is many innocent by standers will suffer along with the lunatics!

it wasn't eve's fault because she was deceived by the snake.
and who put the snake there?
god. so it's all god's fault.

no because we didn't choose to be born and we can't control our thoughts because they're just electric chemical things in our brain controlled by natural laws.

Yes, despite that we were born, what happened humanity has allowed mysticism to go on, and on, it's our fault, it's your fault for believing in crap like the above quote of yours, it's secularist fault for not having done enough to stop the trend of irrational mysticism for so long! Though it is not to say that we have tried, yet what happened? we've been slaughtered jailed, and still today the irationalistic mystic majority wants to silence us!

So yea! lets blow up the ME they are Muslim, next we will find another enemy Hell it's the atheist, lets jail them, murder them, discriminate against them, it goes on, and on throughout history the mystic retards and anyone who does not believe one form of theism, that contradicts another destroy one another, Here come the rationalist atheist, here comes the secularist, they fear, that which they don't understand, they rather silence us, they rather discriminate, other then show FUCKING evidence of their rhetorical bull shit, books, and fu*cking doctrines that just may start a nuclear disaster!! So YEA!!! what ever the hell happens in the future, We are to blame!

So what difference does it make whether one is going to thank Eve or thank Adam?

One's greater concern should be what one is going to do about the consequences of the Fall. Do you desire to burn like a torch for eternity? Salvation is a free gift ...

please provide evidence! BTW quoting the buybull is not evidence! ;)

This is a prime example of why I don't believe in this crap.
