All events have causes.

That hasn't been proven. There are some things that haven't been shown to have causes: eg. quantum fluctuations. Even if this wasn't the case the strongest statement you could make would be:

1) All events that we have observed have causes.

2) Therefore, it is highly likely that all events have causes.

This is, of course contradictory to the proposition that God is an uncaused cause. Usually such an argument would use the proposition:

"All events that have a beginning have a cause."

However, this argument is a shitter. I get the feeling that the author has tried to simplify Kalam's cosmological argument without fully appreciating its nuances and totally mangled it.
