This is what the 'good' citizens of dictatorships have always said. (perhaps without the 'dude'.) They feel superior to the students and other radicals the government (in this case God) tortures out at some stadium.
It's kind of sickening this idea that one should be rewarded for going along with what one knows in one's heart is evil.
