Vulcans need love too just ask Spock. As society becomes more and more complex there will be more and more specialization and a greater need for conformity. The more complex a machine the more delicate and precise the parts have to be machined together. It will also force us to rely on one another more and more as we have less pieces of the knowledge that it takes to run a successful life.
