GS:

This thread is 65 posts long - 22 of which are yours.
In all those 22 posts you have expressed that you think they'd know the diff, but not once have you put forth an actual argument that suggests why it might be so. Here on a science forum, we like assertions to be defended.

The best I can find that could pass as an argument is "because they weren't stupid". Now, none of us have disagreed with that, and if fact, we have explicitly agreed. So, since no one is saying they were stupid, that argument is a strawman and therefore invalid.

So, I'm going to have to ask you why you hold the opinion you do, and give us a bit of historical knowledge that might plausibly support your opinion.

Sorry, I don't play with people who strawman me.
I won a myself a dollar.

I knew, when actually asked to put your money where your mouth is, you would literally say 'No, I've decided not to.'

Totally busted.

But that's cool. It evaporates more than 30% of the posts in this thread, leaving no counterarguments at all as to why the story of Jonah would have made no distinction between fish and whale.

Good job everyone. Thread closed. See ya tomorrow.
