Can sex robots make a rise in ethical decisions or just your jeans?

Assuming someone could build the perfect replacement for a human lover, then I'd gladly go into debt to buy one. One serious drawback however is that my own erotic needs are more than just "mechanical" in nature -- I also get a thrill from being "desired".

The gynoid won't ever desire me. It will simply perform various routines to emulate human behaviors. It's not as if the if it has free will (or the capability to make ethical decisions) since I'm paying for the privilege of sex on demand.

I also enjoy knowing what I'm doing is pleasuring the other person. What's the point in giving a gynoid cunnilingus (for example). I would hate listening to its pre-programmed moan routine and fake orgasm.

What is an ethical decision for a sex robot?
Having sex with another sex robot or to have sex with a human? :D

Does this topic remind anyone the naive good ending American film Cherry 2000?
And what was the name of the other one, with the mature, beautiful but the recluse female writer moving to a secluded country house with a handsome sex robot, which goes full mode psycho and starts to kill people when she switched the sex button to max out of curiosity?

I personally want any robot theme to end with the last exchange between Dave and Hal.

The idea of sex robots are so scary. We can't even relate to each other, connect, love or fuck properly now only us humans around, can you imagine what would happen if there were real perfect sex robots going around?
A perfect sex partner with everything you desire, even with the traits and qualities you don't know you need and want and can't lose him because he is programmed to be with you no matter what happens. Ufff!

We are going to die like those mice in the experiment, pressing the pleasure button constantly.

What if the robot came with a chip custom made for your brain in the kit? A chip that would adjust your brain to the situation and make you forget the fact that "it's actually fake".

What if those robots and chips are made in special customised offers acording to the customer's desire? For example you want a relationship that's going to last for 2 years, intense in sex and intelligence exchange, but not heavily romantic and no marriage. Or a life time package with children, love and the intense sex, intelligence exchange? Or may be you want your relationships end in dramatic punch lines or divorces? May be even a radical change like sexual orientation...

What if we had an option to make it feel like completely real?

This is really scary.

But the point of the android is an improvement over the human lover. Some of the more detestable human pitfalls are things like a lack of sustainability, melodrama, etc. It would be similar to knowingly buying a car with mechanical problems. I don't want that.

Your "fantasy brain chip" idea is interesting - albeit not about androids. Kinda reminds me of BTL chips from the RPG Shadowrun, implanted memories like in the movie "Total Recall", or the recorded experiences like the movie "Strange Days". I could see using those simply because they can be perceived with more solid clarity than my own imagination.

Well, I imagined androids, too good and advanced; we know that they're androids only because we are informed on that. Like copies in Blade Runner, or actually better. And don't take the chip as a memory implanter. It's going to adjust you to the situation and make you feel what you are experiencing is completely real and like you are too lucky to have that partner. But everything will occur in the physical reality we know.
In "Total Recall" it's virtual reality and in "Strange Days" participants are aware of the fact that if they take the device off, everything is going to be as it was before.

In any case, it's still very scary.

See the problem is are you in love with the robot or the concepts and responses programmed into it making you in love with the comapny that programmed the robot.

Finally, do we not need some challenges? Would we recognize total beauty and love (what we would erroneously perceive as such) if no negatives were present? Are not the imperfections part of the beauty?

What if the gynoid did feel pleasure and desire, what then?

You couldn't ever substitute a robot for a person, cause with a human couple there is literally chemistry between the two. Sure a person can desire the robot if it looks and feels enough like a real person, but the robot would have no real sexual desire for the person. It would be a long time before you could invent a robot that could simulate those chemical/hormone reactions within itself.
