about the skeleton being archaic...
a human skeleton, if you think about it, has had one of the longest trial runs of any mechanical system: hundreds of thousands of years, as compared to our technologies' couple of decades of robotics. sure, it's not as cool looking as a artificial-muscle and titanium-sheethed robotic arm, but it's probably a very optimal structure that needs very little modification.
but i wouldn't want to see a woman's skeleton either, that'd just be a taaaad wierd.
