an idea of perpetual energy, tell me what you think

Siphons can be seen to flow water uphill. Just upturn a 20ft high closed ended see throu' pipe into a lake leaving a 10 inch air gap in the top of the pipe. Run another flexible pipe into the air gap. The bottom of this pipe is a little further upstream or say 1ft higher than lake height. You will now see water pumped uphill 20ft into the air gap continuously. Where does that energy come from?
