A small note here through some of the anger and Ghost's unsettling penis fetish: the Americans have torture manuals too, but they don't involve cutting off bits of people's bodies. The Yanks prefer to use the mind. Torture isn't pretty or right, but they aren't making a bloodbath of it, soiled panties or no.

I think it matters more if we have laws about torturing people, because in the end we have to live with ourselves and our actions.

As a dirty commie (i take offense to the word liberal, because in Europe it means right wing asshole) living in a peaceful society I feel that there is no place for torture in our society.

Torture is only a means by which we get the 'enemy' to tell us what we want to hear. After days of being tortured, the prisoner will say anything to get you to stop. Hardly reliable.
