After all this time blowing abu-grab out of proportion and turning fraternity pranks into torture, now we see what real torture is. US forces have captured an Al-Qaeda torture chamber. They freed some victims and recovered various implements of torture along with a torture manual.

The recommended methods include: drilling hands, severing limbs, removal of eyes, dragging behind car, blowtorch to skin, electrocution while suspended from ceiling, clothes iron to skin, whipping while hanging upside down, and the list goes on!

Our torture methods - the ones we've admitted to - don't look as medieval as AQ's.

They don't look as medieval as our allly's in Iraq - the Shia who drill and burn and whip under our protection, such as it is - either. Or our ally's in Columbia. Or our ally's in Guatemala. Or our ally's in Indonesia. Or our ally's in Vietnam, Korea, and the Philippines.

We've found somebody who fits the Hollywood notion of "torture" lots better than we fit it, so everybody who got their ideas of torture from Hollywood movies can be convinced that our torture is not really torture. So the radio righties in the US can still wave their flags. And if we want "real" torture, we always have an ally handy.

No wonder we our proud of ourselves, with all these virtues to be proud of. Waterboarding seems a lot nicer than blowtorching - we must be the good guys !

As far as the hanging from the ceiling on dislocated shoulders and beating to death (in special rooms, with the ceiling hook permanently installed), wrapping in bags and beating to suffocation, anal rape to injury, etc etc, we only got caught at that stuff a few times - isolated incidents, not representative of us. Really. And the torture manual from the School of the Americas has been completely rewritten since its discovery - it's no longer operational. And all of our allies that started abusing people the same way after being trained by us - they thought up that stuff on their own. Foul minds think alike, apparently.

And the recordings of children screaming at Abu Ghraib, that Dr Stephen Miles reports- they weren't what they sounded like, because we don't do things like that.

AQ, however, is evil - as this discovery proves. They not only torture, they write manuals with illustrations on how to do it, clearly labeled "AQ torture manual", and ship them into Iraq from wherever. And they leave them around for us to find.

And as long as our enemy is evil, we're OK.

The soldier then grabbed the bottle back and began squirting the water forcefully into Mr. Dilawar's face.

"Come on, drink!" the interpreter said Specialist Claus had shouted, as the prisoner gagged on the spray. "Drink!"

At the interrogators' behest, a guard tried to force the young man to his knees. But his legs, which had been pummeled by guards for several days, could no longer bend. An interrogator told Mr. Dilawar that he could see a doctor after they finished with him. When he was finally sent back to his cell, though, the guards were instructed only to chain the prisoner back to the ceiling.

"Leave him up," one of the guards quoted Specialist Claus as saying.

Several hours passed before an emergency room doctor finally saw Mr. Dilawar. By then he was dead, his body beginning to stiffen.

There were no persons found at the site nor any survivors of any torture its a figment of a propaganda vacum . I saw this posted on another forum and some guy was saying that these drawings are actually from Saddam’s Baathist regime.

The pics are interesting, according to Al-Qaeda’s brand of Islam (Wahabism), the drawing of someone’s face would be forbidden – suggests the pics are not from Al-Qaeda. As far as I know, torture and mutilation are forbidden in Islam, however Al-Qaeda did release a video where they burnt and mutilated the bodies of 2 American soldiers.

It means jackshit. Al-Qaida has been responsible for countless terrorist attacks, they have killed innocent people the World over, who doesn’t know that? What difference is it going to make if people believe they torture people? Please tell me. What difference will it make?

Just like Al-Qaida, America has committed many crimes against the Iraqi people. Only a cock would believe America is in Iraq to help the Iraqi people. That’s the crux of the matter.
