" Once installed, the YETI@Home client will not interrupt your daily computer usage. In fact, the application can run virtually unnoticed in the background for years, much like the Libertarian Party."

This is some good shit!

we have added the capacity for external strobe lamps to be triggered at the moment of image capture. A few minor modifications are required to your system's motherboard and CPU chip, which can be done with a soldering iron. Simply wire your motherboard directly to the lamp's high voltage chargers and aim the lamps to broadly illuminate the viewing area. Then, every time an image is captured, the strobes will go off, providing plenty of light for a clean image. We recommend 200,000 candle power or greater. In consideration for your neighbors who may be concerned that the large flashes may be lighting or silent gunfire, we recommend you also connect an air horn to be triggered at the same time as the flash. Your neighbors will recognize the sound of the air horn in sync with the flash and know it's not lightning, but simply YETI@Home.

Uh, what exactly does your "aggressive" algorithm do?
We can't tell you exactly, but we can tell you a few things. It watches and analyzes the contents of the input streams, such as keyboard and mouse clicks, and makes some basic determinations as to the nature of your computer activity. If YETI@Home determines that your current level of computer activity is not as important as scanning for Bigfoot, it will consider the computer "idle" and begin processing. Once processing has begun, the current batch must be completed before control is returned to the user. YETI@Home will take over the computer and begin its important work of scanning for simians while you return to whatever activies and hobbies you enjoyed before owning a personal computer.
