World Cup 2010 - one thread to rule them all

..... or not Spud buddy. One moment of madness by Nigeria and Greece have their first ever World Cup win. Real shame as I wanted the African teams to do well, if only for their fans.

Second place in group B is looking like a nail biter for Greece, you'd have to fancy SKOR to beat Nigeria or at least get a draw which means some how Greece need a result against a deadly Argentina. I feel a bet coming on.
 
Ok, lets make this whole thing interesting! Let's play guessing game and collect the points:idea:!

The rule is:
#1. for each correct who win/lose/draw prediction of each match, you'll get 3 points
#2. for each correct score prediction, you'll get additional 10 points
#3. each prediction is only valid to be counted if it is submitted before the match is played. If the match is already played, even for 1 minute, your prediction will not be counted

A draw was better than we were supposed to expect

All I can say is that, aside from the abysmal service at the Black Grape in Haringey—really? an English pub that doesn't know how to serve beer?—last weekend's round one game between the U.S. and England was a thrilling experience. Though I am not a professional footballer, and haven't played in over twenty years, I did spend a number of seasons in the net, and cannot recall ever striking that particular pose to stop a shot on goal. In an expat dive bar, with hoardes chanting, "USA! USA!" all I could think is that yes, God really must hate England for that to happen.
