I remember, as a kid, watching movies like Testament and The Day After. I didn't sleep to much after those thinking the Russians were coming. I also had to do the bomb shelter thing at elementary school, because I lived near a target. Lets say I had a nuclear-phobia growing up. Which made me read extensively on the subject later on, so I know where your coming from Asguard. Use of nuclear weapons is self-defeating.

Uhhh, maybe because Iraq is one of the largest producers of terrorist??? There right there along side the Taliban, only they have nukes. I dont want to go to war with them, but I understand why we dont want to them to have nukes. England and France are NOT running around publicly announcing they hate us and they want us dead.

I personally would like to see what would happen, if we up and left Japan, Korea, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Eygpt, Bosnia and Italy. Just to prove positive or negative, what America's role on this planet acomplishes. I couldn't even imagine how much money we sunk into Bosnia. The last time I was here, there was nothing, now its disneyland and the locals do get paid. With that money, it has helped to rebuild homes, help their economy of course and to help them enjoy life again. So to the people who say America does nothing but help themselves, exactly what than, our we doing in the former Yugoslavia. They don't have anything of value here, if they did it was destroyed long ago. Don't see any oil wells, gold mines or whatever being set up. Just curious what everyone thinks.
(Please don't take this post as a detrement to our brave solders. I lost my grandfather as a result of WW2)
Personaly i think even if we had lost WW2 things wouldn't have been much different now. Things might have been really bad for a while but eventually they would have gone back to normal. I think this because not even Hitler can stay in power forever. Just look at englands history. They started out as fedual lords with the pesents as vertually slaves. Now they have a democracy. I don't think things would be that bad after a while but by the same token that sort of thing would take time and things would have been bad while this was happerning
