a few days ago my friend said something incredibly stupid.
he said that the main reason (or one of the reasons) for the destruction of these 2 fine cities, is because their dwellers had sex with their animals.
that is by far the dumbest thing i've ever heard in my life, but he insists it is true and that he will supply me quotes from the bible... which are not completely explicit, but explicit enough to determine that:
* animals were involved
* those animals were not just 'mistreated', but specifically sexually mistreated
i know that the bible is open to interpretations... but come on, how abstract can a sentence be that one would interpret it as such nonsense?
is anyone familiar with the whole story? can anyone give me any quotes? 'official' interpretations by some reasonably credible religious authority?
