Why was no gospel ever written in Aramaic?

M*W: If Jesus lived, he spoke Aramaic. Everyone he knew spoke Aramaic. Why, then, was no gospel ever written in Aramaic? This totally discounts the possibility of truth in the gospels.

Well, then I was Catholic, they told me it was put into Greek so it would last. Because Greek was spoken all over by the smarter people (but not the commoners)

But ofcoarse, I have no answer, Im not Christian. But thats what I was taught.

the religious always try to justify the actions, dont they, there can be no truth in anything they say.
