You also failed, multiple times, on the basic rules of English in that sentence.
And your assumption is that S.A.M. "should have learned" those rules in "5th grade".

Oh, I'm not saying that he's going to become wise. Just that old age and disease are good teachers.

People with Alzheimer's can hardly be considered wise, but the disease sure robs them of any cockiness they might have had.
 
Fine, fine: the US is currently pre-eminent (and attach whatever meaning you like to that definition, typically being either economic or political weight, although the Saudis would probably lay claim to both, quietly) among the nations of the world.

And this, then, leads to the next most important question in the thread: and so fucking what? Yay, top of the world, Ma. Until the next century. This doesn't mean the United States isn't a great country. But how about less flag-waving and more introspection about what can be done to make it a better country. Hint: the answer isn't better pop bands or sports. Think about it, look up Herodotus, phone it back in. Thanks.

Look, there is a big difference between best country in the world and the best at everything in the world.

USA is the best in the world simply because no one else is. Were not the best because were better then everyone else.

Duke, how old are you? Look, you have what is called "childhood innocence", now I am not the expert on all things that beat America, but there are some things I am aware of.

For example, the Russians can build a stealth fighter that is faster then the F-22 raptor and only a third of the price.

The Israelis built a missile that can shoot down F-22 Raptors any day of the week.

The Israelis have a battle tank that can beat the crap out of the abrams in desert warfare.

The Chinese have a few times more soldiers then us.

When are we going to start talking about how much cooler it is to live in Cleveland rather than Paris? LeBron James would never surrender if a German tank were coming after him, he'd slam dunk its ass. Or at least he'd never have surrendered before Miami turned him into a softy last year.
