Why more boys than girls are "Autistic"?
The ratio is 4:1

My friend got 2 boys autistic,
he is very sad.
He plans to have a baby girl, would his baby girl autistic also?
His 2 boys both are autistic, does it mean he and his wife's genetics can not match each other?:bawl:

Xy versus XX may be the cause-there's more likely to be genetic problems with boys b/c they are only getting 1 copy of things, rather than a duplicate copy.

Your friend needs to go to a genetic counselor with his wife to really find this out, though.

I never heard we can test genetics to know the root cause of autism.

Statistically, girls are less prone to autism, so my friend plans to have a girl.

Its because when a male is born testosterone is flooded into their brain at a early stage in life. This actually damages the part of the brain for communication and increases the parts of their brain for sexual drive and aggression. In a female brain it is flooded with estrogen and causes the area for communication to grow. Most autism is caused by too much testosterone being put into the brain during birth and causing major problems with communication. God knows i'm the average guy i'm shit sometimes for conjuring up conversational topics and keeping a very interesting conversation going. Girls are more smarter literately when it comes to conversation.

do you have a citation?

Its probably an X-linked recessive allele which causes the symptoms. Since boys have only one X chromosome they are more likely to be affected [if it is an X linked recessive allele]

following a bit of a genetic thing, males have the XY chromosome set, females are XX. Its been proven in genetics that that vast majority of conditions follow the X chromosome. Thats why its more prevalent in males since we only have the 1 X. Females wont usually show a condition unless its X dominant or X recessive. So, from this point of view, Autism is likely an X recessive trait (also called X - Linked or Sex Linked). This would mean that if a woman's family has a history of the condition (and she happens to have 1 X-recessive Autism trait) and she marries and has children with an autistic male, there is a 50% chance that a daughter will have autism, and the same chance for son.

Higher ratio in males but non-zero in females suggests epigenetic factors also: X and dominant autosomal, probably. That or X-linkage plus substantial environment.

so it means autism caused by something wrong in X chromosome,
for boy, the X chromosome is from mother, so mother is to blame?

'Blame'?

Is the father then also to blame in affected females?
