Who do you love?

So here's the deal

Your mother and your lover are hanging from a cliff edge by one of your arms each.

You know you can only save one of them...

Who do you save

Well.. I think I wanna know what my mother and my lover were doing alone at the edge of a cliff? Some kind of affair that they are hiding from me? The shame and humiliation are too much for me to bear.

I stomp on both of their fingers. :D

Peace.

Dont have a lover but blood is thicker than water soo....

But what if your mother chose her lover over you when you were young? So I might go with the lover... if it was a really good lover:D

Groove on

At 15 years old, mother. Simply because I'm 15 and it's not like my current 'lover' is likely to be my life-long partner!

However, a wife...?

The wife.

Mainly because my mom would insist upon it.

*grins*
Sometimes I wonder about the people who pose these questions. Always so morbid, and very impractical philosophically.
Lets say you had 2 ice cream cones and your lover and your mother each wanted one. Who of the 3 get ice cream? and maybe the person who doesn't get ice cream can get cotton candy.

Because I am morally obligated to help my mother
and my lover remain thin, I'll eat both ice creams.
(and the cotton candy...)

Peace.

I'd get out of the whole situation by "accidentally" dropping both ice cream cones.

post yer own thread Rio
I've had these bitches dangling here for a week and I need help goddammit!!

:D:D

My point is that this sort of situational ethics where we examine every possible and bizzare situation for what we would do is pointless. The questions aren't really philosophically important. Shouldn't we be concerned with bigger pictures? At the very least, if we *are* going to pick minutia, shouldn't it be minutia that we have a chance to experience some time? I mean, I don't mean to sound like an ass but....

Are you suggesting that we shouldn't have our fun?

Or that our fun should be more like your fun?

Twofold answer

It's a simple solution, a twofold answer, and dependent on one's personal ethic.

Simply, you attempt to save them both, and go down trying.

Or else you walk away and leave them both to die.

thanx much,
Tiassa

Tiassa

That's a bit like Janeway versus Q :D

And my arms are gettingTIRED!

RIO

A games company who shall remain nameless made a fucking fortune out of trivial persuit. Lighten up dood you're a long time bored.

Well... perhaps I could throw a dice to decide...
But then when I see the result they would have already fallen...

I would attempt to enlighten them regarding True Love, hoping that they would climb to safety on the Truth that binds the universe together in an ocean of simple ambiguity.

Peace.

i would be kidding myself if i didn't say my girlfriend. I think everyone actually put in that situation would chose that way (nature wouldn't alow any other choice, you know instinked to breed that sort of thing)

bbcboy ...

You left out a vital bit of information ...

Is my mother 'pre' or 'post' menopausal?

Take care ;)

bbcboy ...

Nah. Just wouldn't want to have to put up with her while she was going
through menopause.

Take care ;)
