Well Fraggle believes the world is moving towards One World governement and I agree. Do you actually think this isn't happening?
Its not pleasant being harrassed, threatened with violence and made homeless due to ones cultural group, particularly by a gang of immigrants using knives and hanguns - but to resort to the same level in revenge on others is not acceptable .
Who is suggesting to resorting to the same level?
I think its a natural reaction of the victim - fear, anger, looking for someone to blame, etc.
I'm not suggesting that you think this way - but as the thread title suggests many do and misplaced 'victimness' fuels the fire of seperatism.
By understanding the rationale of the victim it is possible act from a considered rather than emotional level.

The problem as it see it is that multiculturalism causes problems by relegating the native culture to an option - I have said so for years (despite criticism) and finally this is becoming a general realization, across ethnicities, that multiculturalism has failed.

Don't need to - enough of that outside of America. Its totalitarianism - either your one of us or one of them. My comment was really to address the middle-ground of the spectrum...the place the majority inhabit (in Europe at least).

Of course it's a stupid idea (for Americans and Canadians) but it is no more stupid than leaving the border wide open and letting millions of Mexicans into the country (including whatever terrorists want to as well). Why do you think the American "government" doesn't mind the huge tidal wave of illegals coming here? Because the more that are here the less difference joining Mexico will make to the average American.

That sounds quite amusing. Whenever people started preaching (very rarely) in town when I was younger, my friends and I would blast loud music to drown them out or talk to them. Both were amusing. I remember I was playing Dead Kennedys - Holiday in Cambodia one time... Kind of ironic thinking about it.
