Where are the Angels ?

Then God said, jokingly, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.”Early the next morning Abraham got up and loaded his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about.

On the third day (sounds familiar) Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance. He said to his servants, “Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you.” Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac, and he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of them went on together,

Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, “Father?”

“Yes, my son?” Abraham replied.

“The fire and wood are here,” Isaac said, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?”

Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.”
And the two of them went on together.

When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. Then he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.

But the angel of the Lord called out to him from heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!”
“Here I am,” he replied.
“Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him.

Last night (3rd June 2017), three men drove a van into people on a bridge in London, crashed the van, got out and stabbed dozens of people whilst shouting something like, "This is for Allah!"

There was no angel. Perhaps there are no angels.

The PM has announced that things must now change and this kind of behavior must be stamped out.
I wonder how Jesus would respond. Love ?

The terrorists obviously believe their activities have an affect.

What is the affect?

Are they trying to make us hate religion or love religion ?

Bearing in mind that cars kill more people than terrorists, perhaps we should just treat a terrorist attack as just another accident. Carry on in the same way. Investigate calmly. Try to make improvements. Avoid making a big fuss and don't do anything to inspire others to do the same.

I really see no point in making a big pile of flowers, lighting candles and praying for the dead.

I imagine other terror-minded people are watching the news and saying, "Look it's working !"

angels are a metaphor of a form of consciousness. that angel or devil on your shoulders. it's also different types of energies which affect thinking, mood and decisions.

but as in life, things aren't always as it appears. dark can be clothed in light and vice versa. it just depends upon the situation. good sometimes calls for stringent or harsh actions and sometimes evil will try to get you to accept such under the guise of good or permissiveness or tolerance etc. nature uses tricks and deception too, of course. you will know the correct course depending on the circumstances.

i've learned this so heavily dealing with a religious family who used it as a cover. they were always doing evil while expecting forgiveness and acceptance for the very motive of being able to continue doing it and be undetected as well as it's like that false luciferian halo. they would even use such mind games. they used that religion totally for their own agenda, twisting it for their own benefit. oh, i harmed you? you are supposed to forgive or you are a bad person, god says so etc, you should feel guilty etc. nevermind, they were not really sorry. yes, there are people who use 'good' especially altruism against itself and to empower the opposite.

just about anything can be used as a commodity or manipulated. once you realize that, then you won't be so easily blind-sided. there are examples such as in that movie les miserables where the nuns had to lie in order to protect a person from those who were unjust. this is why blind altruism can be used in the service of evil outcome and intent.

everything is circumstantial and good or evil is indicated by motive and intent.

I'm sorry to offend you. It wasn't intended. I'm merely suggesting that the way we react to terrorism is counter-productive.

Law and knowledge of good and evil have an impact on the natural human brain. The natural animal brain does not think in terms of good and evil. They think only in terms of survival and instinct. Humans read more into natural situations, setting up a polarization, to help us more fully define the situation.

This human mind polarization, for added perception, could be good and evil, left and right , them and us, etc. These all stem from knowledge of good and evil, with the long term goal of this original polarization, the most useful polarization of all, which is cause and affect; reason. Knowledge of good and evil was a precursor to reason.; fear of god is the beginning of wisdom. Reason is where things loop back to the optimized choices of natural instinct. Natural selection is based on instinctive optimizations that can be inferred and deduced based on cause and affect. Most people have not fully evolved to only reason, so the lower level polarization foundations still remain.

The way law and knowledge of good and evil changes the human brain, are laws of good and evil is a binary form of data. If X is good, then implicit in this value judgement is Y must be bad. When the brain writes to memory, it attaches an emotional valence. Since good and evil have two opposite emotions that are mutually exclusive; calm and fear, knowledge of good and evil is stored in two places, and not in one place like instinct.

Since we have both a conscious and unconscious mind, each aspect of our psyche can make use of one of the two storage locations, so combined we have the full memory. A good example of the affect is the preacher who consciously teaches good and appears good in social practice, but he has a secret impulse toward hookers. He is being too one sided; good, so the consolidation of the evil side of law is being accessed by the unconscious mind to help create a counter position so it adds to natural. The more self righteous one becomes the more lopsided with respect to the binary storage, the more likely the unconscious will balance it out; evil in the name of good. It will feel instinctively right.

There another wild card. The human brain can generate AI or artificial intelligence. We use human consciousness to judge when machined become conscious with AI. The human conscious mind is the gold standard of AI. There is no law of science that says the brain can't generate more that one AI at a time. Picture if a secondary AI; symbolized by Satan, was to appear and gain access to the dark side of law memories, while the conscious mind tries to repress evil and do good. The secondary AI can take on a life of its own doing evil to an extreme; serial killer.

The opposite can also be true. St Paul of the bible was so against Christ and early Christianity that he was one of the worse condemners. His unconscious AI took a counter position based on good. Paul became the biggest advocate, all the way to his own death. The AI appears in a dream and then took over his personality, via an extreme good side.

I have a lot of sympathy with your last few statements. We Londoners will obviously carry on as before. The only questions that arise are whether the authorities may need to infringe a bit on our civil liberties in their efforts to prevent more repeat performances and whether the local muslim communities can do more to counteract this pernicious strain of religious extremism. In the end, it is Saudi Arabia that is most responsible for this, by exporting their horrible Wahabbism.

I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times Heaven is passive. God is
your own hopes and dreams.

Terrorism. Yesterday in the Orlando 5 innocent people were killed because a guy with a gun was in a bad mood (then he killed himself). On the same day there were also 3 people murdered in a home because a guy with a gun was in a bad mood (then he killed himself). I am sure you heard about the first one but maybe not the second one (only 4 people died for no fucking reason).

There were 2 mass killings and we just shrug it off (yeah, yeah shit happens). If the 2 losers that caused that carnage had yelled Allahu Akbar before the killings, America would be losing its mind.

Go figure....

Because it's a sign of a larger trend. Just like few people are concerned about an elderly person dying, but would be concerned if they found out their nurse killed them for being rude.

it does give one pause to consider why a being such as lucifer, meaning "bearer of light", was vilified as the enemy of god. then peculiarly as if people are the defecation and lower emanation of demiurge have an egotistical society who believes in a creator/demiurge who condones all depravity (just by design) and has always detested or fought the light of higher truth constantly before little by little it makes any headway or enlightenment.

if someone was giving you a line of bs as to what the real players are and who or what someone is, is really about, said, did etc, christianity is a sordid example. it's a deceptive mess of he said, she said and pointing fingers.

that said, since these are abstract concepts, rather than actual, it doesn't have as dire consequences if mistaken.

so, even if, hypothetically, lucifer was not evil, subsequently equating lucifer by name synonymously with evil whenever evil is personified or evident has no real effect on lucifer as it's not really on the chopping block.

it's just like designating a folder with a label for good and another for bad. these are not actual people where if mistaken identity occurs, the innocent is punished or sent to jail and the perp is free etc.

the concept of god can be tad more deceptive because it is all inclusive of even contradictory or irreconcilable elements.

You are right that there are no angels. They would be minor deities and there is only one deity. The reason God did not help is because that would interfere with FREE WILL which was a gift from God. He never interferes with FREE WILL.

Interfering with events wouldn't violate free will.

Cold blooded murder is what it is, it's happened since the beginning of time(Nothing new under the sun). There is a special place for the guilty.

Chimpanzees honour their dead, our closest ancestors, we have kept that tradition, which is one of our best qualities as long as you don't go mental and present flowers to the dead for the rest of your life.
