Entirely hypothetical situation, of course. Someone from the past pops up again. This person was a liar, a cheat, a fraud, who never did you any good, who only had a negative impact on your life. What do you do?

I cannot imagine any reason why I would want to be involved with your
person a second time. Tell them to beat it. Politely if possible, rudely if necessary.

sounds like you would want to avoid that person. if they were never anygood in the first place, they probably aren't now. I would wonder as to their motivation for contacting me.
