I am puzzled by the comment " What would Jesus drove?" in the context of SUVs and their high gas consumption. Anyone with even a small knowledge of Scripture should know that Jesus rode on an ass. And if he returns now he will have a lot of them to choose from.

I think in the intent of the myth, I think it would be an unassuming white Dodge Neon. After all he didn't walk, and didn't ride a stallion. Pity a "true messiah" who tries to make his entrance on a little white donkey today: He'd be generally mocked and then shot by the IDF. Scripturally, as you may know, the white ass was a device for dovetailing the gospel with the hebrew prophecies. But there are so many interpretations. White asses like George W. Bush might imagine a modern Prince of Peace arriving to straighten out the world in an Abrams tank.
