I hear mystics, newagers, and general crazies of all sort throwing this term around without any clear meaning, but then energy is a very real, and clear thing. It's been a while since high school physics, but lets see if I can name all the types, we've got thermal, electromagnetic(Which encompases the visiable light spectrum, radio waves, gama waves, and I don't remember what else), mechanical energy, chemical energy, radio active energy, and I THINK sound was it's own classification as well. So rather than perverting a term that's already in use (As a gay man I have to plead guilty to that, it was a perfectly respectable word before we took it, sorry!) why not just stick to "good vibes" or something like that?
