What is your art?

Hi:
I wish I could play a musical instrument. I wish I could paint. I wish I could write poetry. I wish I could write plays and short stories. None of these I can do. But I can translate from English into my mother language. And I love it.
Every day at the office there are many news text before me to translate. I choose one or two or more and I translate them. It gives me a good feeling. I think I have done something creative. At times what I have done are printed in the morning and evening newspapers. Of course without my name.
And I enjoy writing in sciforums and I am happy that almost all those who read my post are fine people who have a better understanding of the world than I do. Tthanks

DEB:
My passion is for writing. I am utterly in love with the English language...it is my tool, my medium.
You'd think it at least show.
Kidding.

My art is drinking the world up before I exit. I read like a mofo and make notes and I'm hounded in my sleep by thoughts that come to me out of the blue. I keep scrap paper near my pillow and when I'm not into some morbid nightmare dreaming about those I hate I come up with some of the most beautiful thoughts, I swear. Nothing this world cares to read about sure, but I don't let it get to me considering half the world is couchwarming watching fucking American Idol.

So my art is philosophy, the natural sciences, prose, writing, beauty in color and sounds, the classics in all these fields and all the unsung heroes too boot. Its not all about the classics, you know. I try my best at taking a snapshot of it all as best I know how.

Chthulus:
im a usles waste of human flesh that has yet to, and likly never will, make any contribution to this world.
but atleast im willing to admit that, right?
Right.

"If there be a hell upon earth, it is to be found in a melancholy man's heart"

That's Burton trying to dissect Melancholy.

Damn you, you stole my response.

All I can say is that my life is pretty plain
I like watchin' the puddles gather rain
And all I can do is just pour some tea for two
and speak my point of view
But it's not sane, It's not sane

No rain - Blind Melon.

Hey, don't get drunk! ahhuhuhkyhha!

Something similar happens with me. I'll wake up laughing like a moron and then I'll forget why. That usually stops the laughing.

The extent of my knowledge regarding melencholy all comes back to Jude Law as a sexbot in "A.I":

"Blue is the color of melancholy."

Plus, there's also the mention of "Anatomy of Melancholy" in the movie "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn." 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 All...good...children...go...to...heaven.

Boy, "Anatomy of Melancholy" was written by Burton. Its an eye sore to read that Burton is being slutted on a modern film. ::hurl::

Its like The Matrix Reloaded trying to pull a Nietzche on its audiance. Awful stuff.

What I'd give to be waking up laughing instead of the the .....uhmm....usual.
