What do you do, artistically, that you are very passionate about?

I think it's amazing to inquire what sort of 'music' people make, (music according to Socrates).

For the past 12 years I have played the flute, and while very good at it, I honestly have no passion for it. I am much more of a listener. I love to hear orchestras. I also sketch...but I'm really not very good.

My passion is for writing. I am utterly in love with the English language...it is my tool, my medium.

What about the rest of you Sciforumers?

I pontificate!

I heard there was a website out there that let's you make your own bumper stickers (don't say cafepress, those nazis can suck--wait, where was I...). Oh yeah.

I love to write as well, DEB. I feel so priveleged to know the english language like I do, it's the language of the modern era, the Latin of our times. Most people, I think, will be speaking some form of English two thousand years from now, just like people are speaking French and Spanish two thousand years after the height of the Roman Empire, and of Latin.

Sometimes I'll feel lazy and won't want to write, but then I'll just pull up a story I'm working on, and then suddenly it's half an hour later and I've added on another two or three pages of material. I've been writing at least five years of my life (1/3 of it), so much so that it has become almost automatic. I don't even think, I just write. Whether the writing is good or not remains to be seen...

I believe I heard of a figure, something like one tenth of America's population wants to write as a means of making money. And I shall write as one of them!

(music according to Socrates)

Oh yeah, I pissed a friend of mine off yesterday by taking the Socratic stance of a debate (at least according to him). He argued that overachievers work hard their entire lives for nothing, I asked him for his evidence, he accused me of supporting the opposite argument, which I was not, because neither side has evidence to support its claims, we yelled at each other for a little while longer and then we just stopped talking and watched the other person in the room, who had remained silent the entire time, as he set innocent people on fire in GTA3.

one more thing: saying your talent is in playing videogames is like saying you're good at masterbating. It's fun, but pretty much anyone can do it

Dance, performing, music.

I write a hell of alot.

I'm not too happy with the english language even though it's the best one out there.
There are certain ideas that cannot be expressed through it's limited form of grammar. Sometimes, I end up making up my own words.

I am a writer. But I belong to language ghetto (some 10 millions speakers including very small children and idiots) - so very small chance to ever make money through it. I paint - but I do not like an idea of selling my canvasses - they are too important to me, so I am not able to part with them. I also play guitar – both classic and electric, but it is more like my “ant-stress” exercise.

Art, music, writing, acting, dancing, designing clothes etc etc..my life is pretty much a creative mess.

finally something that really interests me. i'm really into scetching (ebony/colored pencil) and shading, most of my work is abstract, but i also do some characters, now i'm getting into CGA like scenary and objects.

I play flute also and it is my passion. This is my 6th year playing and I love it! I also play piccolo in my school's marching band, but that's simply b/c the flute can't be heard out on the feild:D

Are there any theremin players out there? Can I get a hell yeah? CAN I GET A HELL YEAH!!

Me too. I played lead flute in our band, and picc in marching band. Aww...we're fellow dorks. *sigh*

I do all kinds of visual arts. On smaller or larger scales. Not that any of it is sold or can be seen anywhere outside of my room.

Drama.

I love to act, do improv, perform, sing, dance, etc. I even enjoy the technical/directing/stage managing aspects of putting on a show.........but I'm happiest in the lead on stage. Its definately my passion.

I play piano and a bit of guitar and clarinet, but not very well and i'm not all that passionate about it.

SHIT! their go both of my life works!

ive been playing flute for 3 years and hate it.
ive also been in plays and dances and shit since i was 11, i seem to be decent but once again its not what i want to be doing.
i write poems and songs but theyr no good.

im a usles waste of human flesh that has yet to, and likly never will, make any contribution to this world.
but atleast im willing to admit that, right?

Oz is my most recent passion. There are 40 Oz books and one day I will own them all! There are so many wonderful things about the fantasy land of Oz.

Not quite: many play Counter-Strike, Unreal Tournament and Q3
but only a select few can be considered the elites of the games.
I consider myself a very good CS player, but unless I invested a
lot more time into increasing my skill I could not possibly hope to
make a living off winning competitions like they do. Talent comes
in different packages for each and everyone of us :)~

I have yet to discover mine; that is, if I have any outstanding
skill in one particular endeavor in comparison with everything
else I choose to do...

:(
