What is the world coming to?

The Samoli pirates are apperantly whining that 3 pirates were killed in the rescue mission.

Now maybe I just don't understand the whole prirate gig, but back when I was in the military it was generally understood that if you engaged in combat missions that people would try to kill you.

That’s the problem, you’re assuming these pirates of the seas are using common sense, and apparently they aren’t.

Taking small boats with fully armed men, who attack merchant ships, then kidnap, kill and hold survivors for ransom and steal all in the name of profit cry that they are getting some of their own people killed in these missions, seem logical to them, but so does piracy to them so you just have to figure their elevators don’t go to the top floor.

I figure they must have to dock their boats somewhere so why not just take out their docking areas wherever they are located? As far as the pirates "whinning" about losing their commrades , it isn't them that are whinning it is the MEDIA telling you this shit once again and you are listening to their whinning.

Their docks are in a sovereign nation. "Taking them out" would be an act of war worse than the pirates. It would also involve killing bystanders as well as destroying the livelyhood and property of people otherwise not involved.

As for the whining, the priates called it in on their cell phone and posted it on their website. Get with the times buddy.

From a strickly roi point of view, lots of businesses are risky, but few pay tens of millions of dollars for just a couple boats, a few dozen toughs and some cheap assault rifles. These guys have been raking in the dough.

I meant taking out the BOATS where they are docked, like late at night when everyone is sleeping.

isn't that what criminals do? They they get slammed on the ground and handcuffed, they whine about police brutality. They go to jail and whine about the food.

Amen to that...

Overfly the coast with Spectre gunships and annihilate anything that'll float.

They've already declared war.

It's the Barbary Corsairs all over again - and the solution is the same now as then.

First, it's widely accepted that Somalia is a failed state. Who cares if they are sovereign?

Second, putting an end to the Somali pirate problem would far outweigh the relatively small collateral damage. This wouldn't be the Iraq war, this would be destroying a fucking port. No bid deal. Let them try it from elsewhere.

they're pirates, they'll just steal another boat. i'd assume this is an area where there is too much boat traffic to be able to just say 'well lets get rid of all the boats'.

my understanding is that they're not whining, they're going round robbing and destroying everything, like they've gone into pirate overdrive in retaliation. but that's just what i heard, i haven't read a reliable article or anything (someone wanna post a link?). that said, why would anyone care that they're unhappy unless they're expressing that unhappiness with carnage.

99.99% of the people there have nothing to do with the piracy and just want to make a living fishing.

They've already declared war.

So you are cool if I blow up your house to reduce gang violence in the area?

Every one else in the world who is also a sovereign nation and is tired of seeing the US just throw its weight around like no one else exists. Of course like most Americans you are politically illiterate and can understand this.

What an idiot.
